A Sociological Research On The Relationship Between Emotion And Trust

The trust is an important phenomenon in social, economical fields,and it has become a hot spot for the social sciences in recent decades.Today the multi-disciplinary studies of trust have shown that,both the micro-level of interpersonal trust, or macro-level social trust, will be have an extremely important influence on social revolution, economic development and the harmonious society.However sortting out massive literature, we discovered that in the current trust research has many problems. On the one hand, the majority of empirical study prefer a simple questionnaire to survey the trust condition of the Chinese and foreign society,but it largely ignored the existence of such defects in research methods,and thus have to face the empirical inconsistent data between the trust attitudes and trust behavior. On the other hand,trust is an existence paradox concept,which forever to be one of this twolevel of position:in the non-rationality (emotion) or in rational.We must go out the current trust research position through the new theories and methods,because the prominent contradiction between the complexity of the trust phenomenon and the study of only rational analysis.Following this way, this study confirmes that emotion playes an important role on trust study, will discuss emphatically from the emotional angle explanation to trust behavior possibility and the necessity, and will attempt constructing the relationship model between emotion and trust, based on comprehensive survey and comments in the domestic and foreign emotion sociology research condition.With the development trend of the contemporary sociology from microscopic sociology of emotion research,we find some points:(1)The emotion definition and the survey is not yet come to any conclusion; (2)The psychology generally agreed that attitude include cognition, emotion and intention of the three elements of the structure,never explore the relationship between the three elements,and research involving less empirical measurement may be due to the difficulty of measuring the problem.(3)Few scholars embark from the emotional perspective, around the "emotional and trust relations," the core issue of trust study. This discovery not only provides further trust research from a new perspective, but also provide information and reference to solve the current crisis of confidence in China.According the review, this study should answer these question:(1 Construction trusting relationship structural mode:To explore the relationship between emotion and trust in the model role and impact of each otherand so on. (2)Explore the attitude-behavior relationship structure:Which does the constituent elements of the attitude, the reciprocity between these essential elements, which affect the behavior the condition does have and so on.(3)Construction trust and emotion measuring tool:Which models adopts, which dimensions carries on the survey from, selects any survey target and the topic item.(4)The system combs the emotion sociology newest research results, attempts integrates these achievements in the current trust research, proposed that the research emotion and the trusting relationship should first solve the emotion and the trust independent variable and the dependent variable relational question.This article belongs to exploratory study, analytical emotion and trust relationship.The study tries to answer the aboved question by quantitative research primarily, auxiliary by qualitative investigation.Based on the literature, we establish a emotion trust atitulde model,which influence behavior's research.This model is composed of the trust behavior intention and the trust cognition and the emotion subjective manner and the emotion behavior intention, which composes the emotion subjective condition which as well as the emotion family relations and the emotion study relations. The study collect data mainly through questionnaire survey; select the object training for the exams for postgraduate students,which university centralized Wuhan and Yangzhou to investigate the place, to carry on the random sampling, because these students from the different area and the school, the school record level are also different,which has the good representation,and provide 500 and gain 436 validity case, at last 384 case enter into analysis because of some missing value.The paper analysis data through SPSS11.0 and AMOS7.0.Through theoretical exploration and empirical study,some important conclusion are as follows:1. Through trust empirical study, we have discovered the inconsistent question between trust behavior. The reason of this kind of phenomenon is mainly because trust has complex construction. Between the trust attitude and the trust behavior has one kind of quite complex relations, empirical survey is easily mistaken by the method. We first analyzed have constructed the trusting relationship structural model, confirmed emotion strong character which acted in the trust research.2. Borrowing ideas from the psychology attitude and the behavior relations theory review,we has constructed the trust attitude and the trust behavior relational model,which is by cognition, emotion and intention three essential factor constitution, as well as emotion and cognition through behavior intention intermediary function in behavior analysis way.3. Using the SEM, we construct the emotion trust attitude structural model,and carry on the examination, the appraisal, the revision and the explanation using the questionnaire survey collection's data to this model, finally determine the perfect model suitting with the data. This confirm the emotion factor is indispensable in trusting relationship structural model,and simultaneously further establish the foundation to the attitude--behavior relations'analysis.4. We develop the emotion and the trusting relationship survey questionnaire. Using the exploring factor analysis and the confirmation factor analysis, emotion is constituted by four elements, which names separately as the emotion subjective attitude, the study emotion relations, the family emotion relations, the emotion behavior intention, and trust is constituted by two elements, which names as the trust cognition and the trust behavior intention. The validity and reliability of questionnaire have carried on the confirmation.5. The relationship between the emotion trust attitude structural model's all kinds of relation is not always positive.These have confirmed the supposition which this research gives.6. Through model's population statistics analysis, we selected five aspects to carry on the community comparison,which is the sex characteristic, the national characteristics, the inhabited area characteristic, the school level characteristic, the political features characteristic. These factors is not always positive. The different sex in surveys have not the remarkable difference, but conclusion of different national, political features and from different inhabited area exams in surveys have the remarkable difference.7. Through the empirical analysis, we conclude the behavior divides into three types:The extroverted reason tendency behavior, individual impulsion favor the behavior, the introverted emotion tendency behavior. Each factor of the emotion trust attitude structural model gives different influences on the three typeto behavior. The trust behavior intention has the forecast function to all behavior way, moreover the direct action is a negative value, but to the reason tendency behavior's direct action to just, to the other behavior's direct action is the negative value outward.Although the emotion behavior intention has the forecast function to all behavior way, and has the direct action, but to the reason tendency behavior and the introverted emotion tendency behavior's function is outward just, favors the behavior to individual impulsion the relations are the negative value. The family emotion relations have the forecast function to all factors, and has the direct action, but to the reason tendency behavior's function is outward, favors the behavior and the introverted emotion tendency behavior relations to individual impulsion is the negative value. The study emotion relations have the forecast function to all factors, moreover namely has the direct action also to have the indirect function, but favors the behavior to individual impulsion for the function is just, outward to the reason tendency line and the introverted emotion tendency behavior relations are the negative value. The trust cognition and the emotion subjective condition have the function to all behavior way, but is takes through other factors intermediary has an effect.
