The Research On The Volunteer Service Intention And Behavior Of College Students In The View Of The Theory Of Planned Behavior

In recent years, the university students’morality problems have being concerned.at the same time,the volunteer activities which consist of the university students developed very well. So we trying to make the two parts together,cultivating the students’intentions of voluntary behavior in educating way.making students take an active part in voluntary, and at the mean time, making it a efficient method to improve the university students" morality, which also can improve students’ability. Therefore, figuring out what is the main culprit that infect the intentions of the vlountary service become the key problem. As for the behavioral science, the Theory of Planning Behavior is a powerful way to predict individual’s intention and behaviour, research and make the explanations. But by now, not much study in China university students behavior intentions based on theory of planned behavior has been made. So this study will be done under the rules of theory of planned behavior, in order to find out the causes and the consequence of the university students intentions for voluntary. As a result, this study has an important theoretical and practical significance.There are three stages in this study:For the first stage is the literature review. The second stage is the study design and pre-test,which has been conducted by literature review.The study design includ study object,study target,study contents,study method and study hypothesis.Through one-on-one student interviews and expert advice,the questionnaire has been developed.Then we do a pre-test in a small scales.After measured several rounds of reliability testing,the questionnaire has been modify a lot then we get the final questionnaire.The third stage is data collection and analysis.The study selected1518students to finish the final questionnaire, via the reliability and validity analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, discriminant analysis. comeing to the following conclusions:(1) The university students’ attitudes,subjective norm, perceived behavioral control towards voluntary behavior correlated significantly with university students’ intentions of voluntary behavior.(2) University students intentions of voluntary service behavior can predict volunteer service behavior.(3) Attitude correlated significantly with students’ intentions of voluntary service behavior, subjective norm correlated significantly with university students’intentions of voluntary service behavior. Perceived Behavioral Control correlated significantly with uni students’ intentions of voluntary service behavior.(4) The attitude has a predictive effect on university students intentions of voluntary service behavior, subjective norm has a predictive effect on university students intentions of voluntary service behavior, perceived behavioral control has a predictive effect on university students intentions of voluntary service behavior.(5) The university students’basic attribute has different degrees of influence to the attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control and the intention of voluntary service behavior.
