Today, market economy is developing very fast in our country. People participate in economic activities more and more and the opportunity of dealing with money is also getting more and more. The money attitude is an important factor to impact people's daily life. The college students as "the time vane", their money attitude's structure, characteristics and the influence factors, are a very worth studying topic.Research 1:The money attitude questionnaire was conducted. In order to examine the money attitude questionnaire's reliability, validity and stability, first we adopted searching literatures, text analysis and expert evaluation, then we examined with exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and item analysis. The results show that the questionnaire can become the effective measuring tool for examining people's money attitude.Research 2:The characteristics of college students' money attitude were conducted. In order to investigate the different characteristics of college students' money attitude on gender, age, birth order, grade, professional type, work experience, loan experience, savings habit, monthly expense, residential district, family form, family social economic status, family income and different life phase, we conducted the quantitative research with the money attitude questionnaire.Research 3:The influence factors of college students' money attitude were conducted. 1466 college students were investigated to discuss the effect of their own personality and family money rearing factors for money attitude by Money Attitude Questionnaire, Parents Money Rearing Scale, Self-Esteem Scale, Achievement Motivation Scale, Material Values Scale, Internal-External Locus of Control Scale and Sensation Seeking Scale.In the analysis of the data, get the following conclusions:1. The money attitude questionnaire contains 9 factors. They are demand, obsession, symbol, love, disgust, anxiety, obtain ability, budget reserve and consume orientation. The questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and the structure of questionnaire is stable too. It can be used as effective tool for evaluating people's money attitude.2. Different group characteristics of college students had different scores in the 9 factors of the money attitude questionnaire:(1) The college students who had different ages, birth orders, grades, monthly expense, residential district and family income had different scores on the demand factor. (2) The college students who had different ages, grades, professional types and family social economic status had different scores on the obsession factor. (3) The college students who had different ages and grades had different scores on the symbol factor. (4) The college students who had different ages, grades, monthly expense, residential district, family social economic status and family income had different scores on the love factor. (5) The college students who had different genders and professional types had different scores on the disgust factor. (6) The college students who had different professional types and family social economic status had different scores on the anxiety factor. (7) The college students who had different monthly expense had different scores on the obtain ability factor. (8) The college students who had different birth orders, grades, professional types, work experience, monthly expense and family income had different scores on the budget reserve factor. (9) The college students who had different genders, ages, birth orders, grades, professional types, loan experience, monthly expense, residential district, family social economic status and family income had different scores on the consume orientation factor.3. The high school students, college students and staffs who are in different development stages had obviously different scores in the 9 factors of the money attitude questionnaire.4. The 7 major factors (contains self-esteem, achievement motive, obtaining centrality, obtaining happiness, property success, father money rearing, mother money rearing) and 3 product terms (contains mother money rearing×obtaining happiness, mother money rearing×father money rearing, father money rearing×achievement motive) were obvious prediction function for the money attitude. The regression equation obtained can explain 34.2% variation of money attitude, and the SEM obtained can reflect the relation of each prediction variables and money attitude.
