A Resarch On The Sporting Events Orientation Of The Shenzhen

Through the methods of literature study and experts questionnaire, the paper took Shenzhen as the research object, and appllied SWOT to analyze and research "the sporting events orientation of Shenzhen city", on the basis of defining the influential factors of external and internal environment for the sporting events orientation of cities. The conclusions should be as follows:1.The sporting events orientation of Shenzhen is jointly influenced and restricted by the external and internal environmental factors related to the sporting events. These factors play decisive roles in the orientation of scale, operational mode and classification of sporting events. A proper sporting events-orientation can enhance an all-directional development of the city, and can has a virtuous circle between them.2. Shenzhen should mainly target at the mega sporting events, and attache importance to the highly-popularized indoor-venue international single events. Among all the influences on the above-mentioned orientation, the influences from governments and sport administrations, the comprehensive degree of a city's modernization, and the actual state of the venue facilities have the superiority. With the development of the city in terms of scale, grade and modernization, Shenzhen is more and more highly related to the mega sporting events orientation.3. Due to the shortage of mega sporting events caused by the competition between developed cities and the resource shortage of mega sporting events, mega sporting events orientation of the city suffers a lot, so Shenzhen has to accomplish the orientation by way of "regional coorperation"4. In selecting the sporting events categories of large-scale brands, Shenzhen shows a clear city individuality and regional characteristics. The history of class and scale of the sporting events staging by the city will have influence on its future orientation in some degree. A positive influence will promote the class and scale of the events, while a negative one will result into losing the opportunity to create the event brand.I put forward the following proposals:1.As the fast growing city since China' reform and opening up to the world in 1979, Shenzhen's sporting events orientation can set an example for other cities like Shenzhen. In terms of operational mode, an innovative city should flexibly use the following development modes Government-leading, Economy-based, Mixed-development according to the type and scale of sporting events for the development of city's sporting culture.2. Utilize the policy advantages to actively establish the highly-popularized and better marketzed professional sports clubs. Enlarge the size of professional sports clubs to train and introduce star athletes. Develop the professional sports event market and increase the home events of professional sports clubs to meet the consumption requirements of the mass in sporting events to enhance city's development innovatively.3. Develop sports agencies market, bring the sports intermediary agent into full play, and combine the advantages of the city to build its own event brands. Bring in the highly-popularized mega indoor-venue single events for the long term development.
