Recently, with Huang Zinhong, Li Meisu etc, the elder shot putters retired, the result of our female shot put stopped moving forward or even got down gradually. In Sydney Olympic Game in 2000, our female shot putters got notinng on prize. Also, our male shot putters had been waving in Asia lever. No acinevement could get in the international competition. All of these require us to research and reform the technique and training. On the other hand, with the match getting gruelling, the result of the shot put is getting closer. Sometimes, several centimeter differences will get whole different prize. These phenomena tell us that the recent shot put match requires us work at training and the technique with the care and precision and make the optimum combination in every segment so that we can get the inghest result through opening up the largest movement potential of the putter. In the recent practical training, how to establish a set of the optimum theoretical system for the shot put technique is becoming the project winch we are forced to research. We should supply an apparatus to feed back the information of the release of the shot put and the difference between the practical release and the optimum one timely. The aim of tins research1.To establish a theoretical system the technique of shot put. Also to put the theoretical basis for furtherinvestigation of the new technique of shot put. 2.To find initial conditions of the maximum range thus to provide some scientific foundation for theselection and training of shot putter through theoretical research of trajectory of shot put after release.3. To fulfil the dynamic simulation on computer to make the abstract theoretical formula visual thus to provide a software for training and teacinng of shot put.4. To provide a timely feedback apparatus for elite shot putter through detection of two point on shot put trajectory by using the CCD technique.Method:In tins paper, we used1. Reference method2. Expert visitingWe visited the relative experts in the plan of the apparatus design, the selecting of the experiment subjects, the determination of the experiment method, the building of assistant experiment apparatus.3 Experiment testing,In the condition of experiment, the trajectory of shot put was videoed in 50Hz and analyzed in Video Performance Analysis System.4 Computer simulation and calculationThe program was written in Vbasic to simulate and calculate the release of shot put in all kind of release condition. The dynamic trajectory of shot put was shown on computer.5. Statistics. The data were dwelt with in Micro-Excell to make statistical process.Main results1.there are mechanical laws in putting the shot:a. The velocity going forward one by one; b. the energy going forward one by one and increasing rapidly; cangular moment delivering. Also there are some principles the putter should abide by: a. the maximumwork, b. Maximum pulse, and c. Maximum angular moment delivering.2.The optimum angle is related to the release velocity and the release ingh. Theoretically, it is ranged from0° to 45°.At the release point, when the velocity is getting smaller, the optimum angle is closer gradually to0°, Other wise, closer to 45°. To the elite putter, 39°-42° of the optimum angle is cohered with ourtheoretical analysis. The range of trajectory is related to the release height, release angle and releasevelocity. To the elite putter, the range of shot put will increase 1 m when the release height increases 1m.When the release height is constant, the three variables, the range, the release angle and the release velocity, all together establish 3-D graph just like the mountain. With the increase of the release velocity, the heightof the mountain is increased rapidly. At the same time, the range of mountain is getting closer from edge(0°) to the center (45°).3. At the condition of the release height given, if two points on the trajectory of shot put are measured, therelease angle an...
