Study On The Trend Of China Sport Reform After Beijing 2008 Olympic Games

Among the powerful current of China reform and opening process, along with reforming of politics, economics and culture in China, bearing the confusing and twitch resulted from social transition and structure differentiation, China sport has gone through a rough way for more than twenty years. In the course of reform, China sport has obtained great performance, while there were many problems as well.Entering new century, with the consummating of socialist market economy system, the conflict of sport system and economic system became more and more definite. China sport reform is facing severe situation. 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was the milestone in the course of China sport development, but it also had negative impact to China sport reform. China sport was confronting with both opportunity and challenge together after Beijing Olympic Games. How should we take the opportunity brought by Beijing Olympic Games to deepening sport reform, to build a more effective system, to support sport development consistently was a profound study.Based on the theoretical foundation of sport sociology, using methodology of Marxism, applying the methods of literature reviewing, comparative researching, logical analyzing, and so on, the trend of reform and developing of China sport was investigated. Through reviewing the course of China sport reform, analyzing the core problems of development of China sport, illustrating the relationship of Beijing Olympic Games and development of China sport, analyzing the influence of developing trend of world sport and the trend of China overall reform on the reform of China sport, the changes of China sport in the respects from ideology to behavior, from theory to practice, from system to mechanism, from competitive sport to sport for all, from collectivity to subsystem were deduced. Therefore the theoretical reference was brought forward for deepening sport reform.The conclusions were the foliowings:1. The reform and development of sport has an extensive and tight relation with development of politics, economy and society of whole county. The governmental orientation of sport decided the emphasis and direction of sport development.2. The reform of China sport was lagged behind the reform of politics and economy. Because of lacking internal driving force to reform, the department of sport wouldn't reform themselves, and it caused that the system reform was the core of China sport reform in the last century and will still be the core issue this century.3. The investigation on the relationship of hosting Olympic Games and sport reform of host country showed that: as a mega-event, Olympic Games could improve the external environment for development of sport, adjust the relation of subsystem of sport, and have some effects on sport reform.
