Phenomenology theory was established by E.Hussel in the beginning of last century. The main position of Phenomenology theory is to the thing itself ,take the thing ,not the concept and theory as the basis for the people to know the world. Phenomenology theory, under the effort of Martin Heidegger, become an influential and international movement. According the main ideas of phenomenology theory, some researchers outline the specific steps for carrying out the phenomenological inquiry.Phenomenological inquiry is one of the popular applied qualitative research method in the social science. The aim of thesis is to provide experience of the phenomenological inquiry for researchers in China through the introduction of the Phenomenological inquiry abroad .The paper applied the method of literature review and case study to clarified the related issues of phenomenological inquiry by collecting as many as material on the theories , research steps and experience research in the field in the education, sociology, psychology, nursing .The Phenomenological inquiry discussed in the paper can promote the educational research in China , and is an renewal for the research of educational phenomenology in China. The paper will play a important role in enhancing the educational research and enriching the research methods in China.The contents of paper are composed of introduction, theories , steps , study cases and summary, etc .In the first chapter, the paper mainly discussed the reason , background , core concept and method used in the research, and point out that there are many shortcoming in education research in China ,and it is necessary to introducing the Phenomenological inquiry to carry out the education research.In the second chapter, the paper mainly introduced the theory of phenomenology including the history , background , main ideas and schools and laid the foundation for the research of phenomenology in education and analysis the foundation of Phenomenological inquiry in detail.In the third chapter, the paper explored the methodology , meaning source , measure , writing and knowledge of phenomenology, and analysis the relate problem in phenomenological inquiry ,such as the meaning inquiry, phenomenological writing , phenomenological knowledge .In the fourth chapter, the paper demonstrate the phenomenological research with work authored by Adrian Van Kaam, P. F. Colaizzi, Amedeo Giorgi, Clark Mous-takas, Van Mannen, J.W Creswell, Herbert Spiegelberg.In the fifth chapter, the paper discussed the phenomenological research design with the research project authored by Moustakas, Van kaam, Barritt, LaCourse, Marek to clarified the research of educational phenomenology.In the sixth chapter , the paper excerpted some the examples from the psychological research report to demonstrate the educational phenomenological research.In the seventh chapter , the paper point out the short of education research in China, and the significance and enlightenment of phenomenological inquiry for...
