With the coming era of great science and technology, the scientific development trend of branch and integration gets obviously, which enhancing the degree of crossover and permeability between disciplines, and also blurring the traditional interdisciplinary boundaries more and more. In response to this trend, new challenge to traditional research style has been addressed. Compared to research way of previous one-man combat, or group, the emergence of collaborative teams denotes strongly effect. Universities, however, as a major force in technological innovation in China, to meet the needs of the development of science, exert characteristics or advantages, and promote the abilities and qualities of researchers significantly, all these targets can be fulfilled by constructing the innovation teams that provided harmony atmosphere. The key to success for innovation teams in university lies in communication and cooperation between team members, in another words, it depends on the top-quality process of team. If you want to develop the atmosphere of well communication and cooperation in innovation teams, full trust inter-members must be required. Therefore, this paper unfolds series of issues about innovation teams in university, revolving around construction of trust, evolution of modes, relationship between trust and performance, etc.Firstly, used data survey and content analysis methods to examine past studies on teams domestic and abroad, focused on the team interaction, team effectiveness, trust, and relationship between trust and performance. All that validate the significance and direction of research, meanwhile, provide support for the feasibility of study by literatures.Secondly, based on the definitude of several basic theoretical propositions about innovation teams in university, analysis power-transmit-mechanism, interaction stage and features in the perspective of team interaction process. Furthermore, trust theoretical system has been built, embracing the meaning and elements, dimensional division, mode evolution, relationship between trust and key behavioral integration. This part of work laid solid theoretic foundation for the empirical research.Thirdly, according to the literature and theoretical research, inspection framework of the empirical research and series of theoretical hypotheses have been illustrated, involving trust building in innovation teams, mode evolution in every stage, especially trust and mechanism of affecting the performance. Finally, incorporated technologies of factor analysis and structural equation modeling, construction of trust has been validated based on characteristics of interaction process of innovation teams in university; Further, keeping an eye on the influence of knowledge sharing, team cohesion and risk exposure on the task-oriented and feeling-oriented trust; applied ANOVA (analysis of variance), results indicates that with transition over different interaction stages, various modes of trust will be exposed, that is, from reputation-based trust to knowledge-based trust, eventually developed to the identification-based trust; Coupled with structural equation modeling, mechanism among trust (independent variable), key behavioral integration (intermediate variable) and performance (dependent variable) has been simulated and tested. The overall conclusion drawn from the research reported in this paper is that, in innovation teams of university, key behavioral integration played a completely intermediate role in the relationship between trust and performance.
