Education And Society In Fujian And Taiwan Regions During Ming And Qing Dynasties In The Perspective Of Maritime History

This thesis aims to discuss the relationship between education and society in Fujian and Taiwan regions during Ming and Qing Dynasties in the perspective of maritime history. The author tries to examine social change in Fujian and Taiwan regions as seen in the field of education. This thesis attempts to combine educational history with social history, and combine the train of two thoughts, that is explore education from the angle of society and study society from the perspective of education. The author has the possibility of the notion of "educational-social history" in mind and hope it will help promote the research of educational history in Ming and Qing Dynasties and regional history study of Fujian and Taiwan.Chapterâ… explores educational relations of Fujian and Taiwan in historical perspective.
