China is a large agricultural country, solving the "three rural" issue has become an important task of Chinese modernization construction and building a new socialist countryside. However, the development of agriculture and rural construction must rely on farmers; the quality of farmers will directly affect the construction of new rural and the development of agriculture. Research farmer education has an important significance of rich the theory and promotes the practice of farmers’ education. The natural conditions and human environment are very similar in Fujian and Taiwan, to analyze and compare the farmer education between them has important implications for the development of China’s farmers’education.Based on the human capital theory and lifelong education theory, the author uses the comparative method, literature research and case analysis, summarized the development of Fujian and Taiwan farmers’ education, made a more comprehensive comparison and analysis of the contents of farmer education, policy and management, ways and means and the implementing agencies between Fujian and Taiwan. Through the comparative analysis of these five areas, the author puts forward some enlightenment to the development of farmer education in China: perfect the policies and regulations, increase capital investment; establish a scientific management system and strengthen supervision; establish an open education cooperation mechanisms; combined with a variety of educational methods and refinement of educational projects; strengthen the eco-environmental education and promote the sustainable development of agriculture.
