Education evaluation is one of the three major areas of scientific research in modern education.Developing the education evaluation work in the university will be beneficial to optimizing education activities and improving training quality.With the promotion of education for all-round development,it is necessary to evaluate the current quality situation of university students.The analysis for university students' quality is carried out by using multivariate statistical analysis,regression analysis etc. mathematical statistics methods in this paper.In addition,the investigation and analysis for the scientific research level of Ph.D.in engineering specialty also provide references for the training.As to evaluation methods,most conclusions for teaching laws or current education for all-round development are derived from qualitative researches,but the conclusions in this paper are obtained from the analysis results of practical data which combines the quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.The analysis for current situation of professional quality,physical quality,ideological and ethical standard of university students and scientific research level of Ph.D students as well as its influence factors show the combination of final evaluation and formative evaluation;the classification of scores for university students shows the attention for the process evaluation;the developmental views for evaluation have been implemented in the process of evaluation for psychological quality;in addition,the self-evaluation results in physical,psychological,ideological and ethical standard realize the combination of multi-evaluation.For the evaluation content,different aspects of higher education and students' quality are involved in this paper.The results of all semester,all course are analyzed to get the rule of students' results,the effect of single course scores of college entrance examination,personal nature,psychological quality etc.on university results,the current situation and the influence factors for physical quality,ideological and ethical standard of university students.Comparison for the situation among different type university is also focused on in this paper to acquire some general conclusions.Moreover,the investigation and analysis for achievements in scientific research of the authors of national excellent doctorial dissertation in engineering specialty provide all around quantitative results in detail for this part.The main conclusions obtained by this paper are as follows: The effect of college entrance examination result on university result is nonlinear.After the total scores in college entrance examination reaching a certain level,the college entrance examination scores no longer have significant effect on university result,and at this time,the university result is affected by personal nature, comprehensive quality etc.Although this standard has difference among universities, generally,it is greater than or equal to the median of total admission scores in that year.Because of the long-term effect of exam-oriented education in basic education, the college entrance examination scores are not exactly consistent with the learning ability of students,and the students with high college entrance examination scores also have poor university scores due to some reasons,therefore,how to overcome the drawbacks of exam-oriented education is worth considering.The university result has stages,and the third or fourth semester is the demarcation point.Strengthening the supervision for the results of sophomore will be helpful to the stability of students' results.From analysis of professional,physical and mental,cultural,ideological and ethical standard quality for university students,it is found that the quality of students is a unified whole,but the quality of each aspect can be interacted.The investigation and analysis of the authors of national excellent doctorial dissertation in engineering specialty indicate that the emphasis on capacity of scientific research of authors in different courses is different,and the gap of the scientific research level between China and world advanced level is different.
