At present, there are still some doubts and problems on moral education in school. During the inspection and settling these problems, people attributed the problems to the single and rigid understanding of the meaning of moral,which has rich, profound meaning in Chinese moral tradition. Therefore moral education is confined to teaching people to study and obey regulations in a way of imitation and simple exercises, of which makes morality itself lose its vitality and becomes a thing out of human, causing the betrayal and alienation of human and moral.Traditional Chinese culture always advocates traditional morality and moral is always the core area of Chinese traditional philosophy. It is regarded as a common contact information system and a multi-level overall structure as well. Traditional morality is an amalgamation of the two words "Dao" and "De". Dao is the origination and the internal rules of all the things. De is the nature and the internal basis of all the things. Dao builds and impenetrates them. With Dao, all the things themselves get success, which is "knowing the Dao, get De". In the eyes of the ancients, the world, all the things, human society is a whole which is essential indivisible unity. Following Dao, to bring into correspondence with the cooperation of all the things in the world becomes a fundamental requirement and internal targets of the human morality. In this sense, human morality established by ancients is to follow Dao. It is a macro-ethics or a universe ethics. It is broader than the modern moral which regards moral as the only rule. It has more far-reaching intentions and its meanings is more abundant.Based on the historical research on the development of traditional "moral", we can find clearly that the traditional "moral" is dynamic conception with rich connotation, not only originating from life, but also caring about the life. It has irreplaceable and unique value and it is the important resources and component for current Chinese moral culture construction and modern school moral education reform. Therefore, to re-examine Chinese traditional moral with new vision and explore its real meaning as well as changing moral which is the regulation to adjust the relationship between man, nature and society to the way that man grasps the world in spirit, which is the new start to re-think about our school moral education today.The overall thesis is divided into three parts, a total of six chapters, including introduction part, body part (four chapters) and conclusion part. Through the introduction of historical evolution of "moral" concept of Chinese traditional culture, to search for the original meaning of "moral" from the real meaning and the relationship between "Dao" and "De". On the basis of probing into the real meaning of the moral of Chinese traditional culture, it attempts to absorb the excellent ingredients from Chinese traditional morality and traditional moral resources. According to people's educational experience and practice, analyze and reflect the situation of moral education in the reality schools and put forward the modern transformation proposition of Chinese traditional "moral" meanings. The first part:Introduction. It puts forward China's traditional "Dao". In this part, it mainly puts forward the research questions, "the modern interpretation and transformation of the meanings of Chinese traditional 'moral'". It definitely puts forwards the purpose and significance of the research, and review relevant research, establish research directions. It reviews the relevant research and establishes research directions.The second part:Body. This section is the core of this thesis with four chapters. This part is the further study of the research questions, as following:The first chapter:Traditional "moral" historical survey. Chinese traditional morality is an amalgamation of the two words "Dao" and "De". Though studying the production causes, the formation and the historical evolution of "moral" on the background of Chinese and Western traditional culture, to compare and analyze the historical evolution similarity of Chinese and Western traditional "moral", and to lay the ideological foundation of the further development of this thesis.The second chapter:The modern interpretation of Chinese traditional "moral". In terms of the traditional "moral" meaning features, traditional "moral" is not only a dynamic development concept, but also an overall structure with hierarchical and extensive characteristics which is from living and concerned about life. In the historical development of the moral education in ancient China, sometimes it reflected these characteristics of the traditional "moral" also. This provides theoretical support for us to explore and learn from the excellent ingredients of Chinese traditional "moral" and moral education resources, then to achieve its modern transformation.The third chapter:The modern dilemma of moral education in schools. The Dilemma and crisis of moral education in schools is the fact recognized commonly by the community. The reason is related with the confusion of the moral's current definitions and the fuzzy relations of moral's concepts. Meanwhile, the modern dilemma of moral education in schools is also reflected in the lack of moral education in moral. Moreover the moral concepts, objectives, meanings and methods of moral education in schools do not match with the requirements of the times.The fourth chapter:The modern transformation of Chinese traditional "moral" meanings. On the basis of analyzing the current status of the moral education in schools and the interpretation of traditional "moral" meanings, this chapter puts forward the basic framework for problem solving and achieves the creative transformation of Chinese traditional "moral" meanings. It expounds the nature of moral education in modern schools, the basic principles of moral education system construction, the orientation of moral education goals, the selection of moral education content and the achievement of moral education approaches. It has a shape of the theoretical framework of the new modern moral education system.The third part:Conclusion. This section summarizes the basic train of thought about the modern interpretation and transformation of the meanings of Chinese traditional moral.
