Research On Innovation Management Mechanism Of High And New Technology Enterprise R & D Alliance

With the rapid development of science and technology and the intensifying competition between or among organizations, it is a necessary choice for high and new technology enterprises to forge R&D alliances so as to obtain the external innovation resources, to gain competitive advantage and to keep sustainable development. In the meantime, as an effective way for multi-entity to innovate collectively, R&D alliance has been paid much more attention. Since the essence of R&D alliance is collaborative research and development on the purpose of generating innovation, at the present stage of vigorous promoting independent innovation both locally and nationally, the highest goal of R&D alliance is to realize independent innovation. Therefore, it becomes more important to strengthen the management for the activities and process of independent innovation, which is the key for R&D alliance. But doing as such also makes R&D alliance management more difficult and more complex.On the basis of scrutinizing, analysing and commenting on the current research stream and theoretical foundations in the extant R&D alliance literatures, this dissertation first analyses on the motivations, types and evolution characteristics of R&D alliance and on the connotation, feasure and influencing factors of independent innovation through R&D alliance. Next, it decribes the process and evolution regularity of independent innovation through R&D alliance and proposes optimized thoughts for the management mechanism system of R&D alliance innovation in accordance with comprehensive advantage theory. Then, the innovation management mechanism in the different stages of R&D alliance forming, operating process and fruit outputting is constructed in the thesis. First of all, in view of the three founfamental procedures of partner selection, mode selection and contract design involved in the innitial stage of R&D alliance forging, this essay designs and explicits the indicators and method for R&D alliances'partner selection and proposes the mode selection method of R&D alliance in the light of different partner, different type and mixed in between. Also, it elaborates the principales of, and approaches to R&D alliance's contract design and mode selection. Secondly, based on the synergetic innovation process and characteristics of R&D alliance's enterprises, this paper designs the R&D alliance process management mechanism including alliance task assignment and process control, synergetic integration of innovation resources as well as alliance's knowledge learning mode and strategy. And third, according to the output and distribution issues of R&D alliance innovation, the dissertation constructs both R&D alliance innovation performance evaluation index, methods and processes, and designs relevant methods of benefit distribution mechanisms. Finally, taking China's TD-SCDMA alliance as the case study to conduct empirical research, the paper analyzes the characteristics and mechanics relevant to R&D alliance independent innovation and proposes countermeasures and suggestions in view of the problems occurring in R&D alliance innovation process.The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical method support for the whole process of high and new technology enterprise R&D alliance independent innovation. It is of significant value both in theory and in practice for enhancing the innovation management level and effectiveness as well as independent innovation capacity of high and new technology enterprise R&D alliance in China. In the meantime, it also provides concerning government departments with reference and basis for them to formulate science and technology policy and plan for promoting the development of R&D alliance and for encouraging independent innovation.
