With the arrival of the service economy, the special characteristic of the service product determines that we should focus on it with a new view. The service industry is one that makes special construction and is greatly connected to the modern economic development and social employment. The proportion of the service in the economy of the nation has become an important measurement of the level of a state's economic development. Alike, the competition of the service industry will determine the future of a state's position in the international competitionIn recent years, the development of the service trade of our country is in the ascendant. However, compared with the developed countries, there still exists sizable disparity on industry foundation, realistic scale and development level of the service trade in China. To implement the leap-type strategic great development that the service trade of our country to catch up with, to serve and innovate actively is the only outlet for us. Serving and innovating research should become one of the fields the service trade of our country studies and pays close attention in the future.The thesis summarizes the former research results systematically, carries on comparatively exhaustive exposition to the basic conception, basic theories and management practice, and reflects the latest progresses and front study in service innovation to a certain extent. The author highlights the choice of innovation orientation and controls the core of the service innovation; the direct symbol for the core lies in whether the innovation regress the values or creates the continuous profits. Therefore, it is obvious that the topic is close to the reality, how to progress service innovation study based on profit growth's orientation should be a significant research field for the service innovation study.The study on technological innovation has become the mainstream of the study currently and the area of the study on innovation is rather limited. In a broad sense, service innovation refers to all innovative behaviors and activities related to or based on service .In a narrow sense, Service innovation refers to any innovative behaviors and activities occurred in service industry .The thesis focuses on its narrow sense. Based on the service value chain theory of Heskett, J. I and Sasser, w. E. , this book integrates the theory and model of service innovation, and puts forward a model of profit-oriented service innovation. The thesis comprises eight chapters. Chapter 1 isan introductory part which points out the theoretical and practical significance of the research, and expounds the research framework and techniques. Chapter 7 focuses on the study of the process and the effects of the service innovation related to enterprises, and brings forward some suggestions on service innovation. Chapter 8 summarizes the main results and suggestions for further study of this field.Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter4, Chapter 5 and Chapter 6 are the main parts of this thesis. Chapter 2 mainly expounds synthesis on the theories of service innovation at home and abroad. The thesis analyzes typical phases and models in innovation study (especially technological innovation of foreign scholars), conclude s typical distinguishes between service and technological innovation and four dimensions of service innovation. Chapter 3 analyzes the internal driving force and the external driving force which progress (the) service innovation.Chapter 4 offers the core position of (the) thesis: Service enterprise should create personality profit model centered in the value chain according to the customer value equation. The thesis infers value conduct system of profit growth through a series of relationship in service profit chain, "customer-staff-investor loyalty triangle", and creates "the recycling growth model of profit ability" fully analyzing the service enterprise profit growth.Chapter 5 constructs relation matrix of three factors in service profit chain (staff, service product and customer) and profit growth directly in service innovation, and summarize six methods which carry out service enterprise profit growth. The thesis gives the thought which evaluates the continuous ability of service innovation, constructs evaluation system in service innovation. The author thinks service innovation's orientation control should emphasize the customer loyalty-oriented (turn to customer loyalty from customer satisfaction) and the center of profit (turn to profit target from market share). The thesis offers full control management system on the basis of ability by strategy management, organization management, humor resource management, overcomes innovation obstacle and creates competitive superiority.The innovation of the thesis lies in the follows:Firstly, the topic is innovative, which explores a new research field about service innovation, a research on the controlling of the service innovation's orientation.Secondly, gives the crucial approach to achieve the service innovation on thebasis of the Profit increased continuously, which is the all-around service innovation from the point of the service conception, service flow, service interface and the service technology's choice centered in the value chain.Thirdly, on the basis of the former researches, it is proposed authentically that the models of the recycling growth among the loyalty pyramid, triangles and the profit ability is the footstone of the service innovation on the basis of profit growth.
