Based on the virtual-organization theory, combined with the self-organizing theory, dissipative-structure theory and hypercycle theory, this dissertation explores the Medium and Small Technological Enterprises (MSTE) and their virtual R&D organization (VR&DO) by applying the scientific inductive, deductive and analogical methods, and case study. Through perusing and studing the large amount of references, this dissertation summarizes the relevant literatures of the domestic and oversea studies of the connotation of MSTE and their internal systematical factors and external environment, the virtual organization, the connotation and the characteristics and the modes of VR&DO, the application of the theory of economic space, etc. With the reference of the relevant analysis of the connotation of MSTE and their lifecycle and R&D's characteristics, this dissertation explores the factors influencing these enterprises, builds the internal and external systematical factor models and the factors functions. The dissertation explores the important factors causing the VR&DO; and reveals that the fundamental drive for the VR&DO of Medium and Small Enterprises is to lower the transaction fees brought by the virtualization of R&D organization; and cleares the points of the subjective motility and objective necessity for creating the VR&DO. With the foundation of the relevant research of VR&DO, this dissertation illustrates the connotation and characteristics of the VR&DO of MSTE through the deductive and comparative methods, and case studies. Appling the principals and methods of the self-organizing theory, dissipative structural theory and hypercycle theory, this dissertation analyzes the dynamic characteristics of the VR&DO for the MSTE, testifies it is a complicated system. Based on the application of the economic-space theory, this dissertation describes the microeconomic space. In the microeconomic space, by taking into account the eigenfunction of knowledge-captical, matter-captical, and financing-captical, not only to create the terms such as microeconomic space, but also to establish the knowledge-pole, the matter-pole the financing-pole, and their "flow"and information flow of MSTE This dissertation sets up the models of the information flow, the knowledge flow and the financing flow for the VR&DO of MSTE. Through research and analysis of the shorttage in the research of modes for existing VR&DO, this dissertation finds the base and the cut-in to set up and develop the VR&DO of MSTE.The partners aiming to conduct the virtual cooperation might appear as poles by applying some of these terms and models in order to analyze the wrought mechanism of the VR&DO of MSTE, puts forward and research three types of mode, that is the modes of knowledge-pole, matter-pole and mixture. Their characteristics are studied, the adaptable situations are presented, and the relevant cases are given to explain. Lastly, there is a case study for the research of dynamic models of MSTE and VR&DO and modes of the VR&DO of MSTE: VR&DO of the project of guangxi's biomass-energy industry. This dissertation depicts detailly the technology needs, cooperative partern and knowledge pole, matter pole and financing pole of its VR&DO of guangxi's biomass-energy industry. This dissertation validates the dynamic models of MSTE and their VR&DO and the modes of the VR&DO of MSTE to be extension and applied through analysis to confirm the modes of the case and analysis their knowledge flow, matter flow, financing flow and information flow, and forming the course model of the knowledge flow, matter flow, financing flow and information flow for the case. This dissertation needs further research on the flowing fields, including the quantitative analysis on exploring the relevant terms and models in the microeconomic space and the dynamic characteristics of the VR&DO for the MSTE, etc.
