The research of design planning and management is the interdisciplinary study researches of The Art Design and The Management. The researches on this emerging study, to make an integrated study of design planning and the design management, is aimed at the unique of the creative design and the brand identity of the corporations. Pursuant to this unique, the research focuses on making strategic targets of design, making design strategies, developing the design market and having the design serve those targets better, and bringing the customers additional value and better products, which eventually not only makes the design the sharp weapon for the corporations to seize the market, but also pushes it to further success and development.Based on the considerations above, this essay, with the research techniques of interdisciplinary study and the systematic theory, integrates the research contents of The Design and The Management, and combines the theory with the practice to probe into the planning and the management of design. Thus the basic fabric of the essay can be divided into two parts. The first part involves in the design planning, while the second concentrates on the design management.At the beginning of the essay is the preface, which is to make a synthetic exposition of many aspects of the research, like the aim, the meaning, and the actuality both home and abroad, and the novelty of relevant essays.Following is the first part—the design planning part—from chapter two to five. The point of this part is to emphasize the principles of the researches in the design planning. This part discusses the basic elements and principles of design planning, through the systematic researches in different categories, such as the design of products, of advertisements, of brands, and of corporation culture and Corporation Identity, etc.The second part is the design management part, which is from chapter six to eight and focuses on the study of the connotation of the design management. This part makes a thorough research and discussion in the management of human resources, of design process, the sales management of art design, and so on.Finally the chapter nine includes the conclusion and the prospect.1. The initiative of this essay is to explore systematic research of all different kinds of designs and to coordinate every sort of design resources, and eventually to sum up the characteristics of systematic researches in the designs of the products, of the advertisements, of the brands, and of the Corporation Identity and the characteristics of human resources and marketing, which helps the corporation to formulate design strategies for the design innovation and the design market development.2. The essay proposes, in a creative way, the competitive measures of making use of the otherness and individuality of the product design. It makes a study of several strategies of product development and the lifecycle theory of the product design, then states the cultural elements of the product design. And it summarizes a pattern of product design process on the basis of design, and sets up the procedure and the processes of the development of the product design.3.Combined with the theory of corporation culture, the essay makes a study of the processes and rules to introduce to the CI (corporation identity). And it establishes the systematic design strategies of the integrated corporation culture based on the visual recognition.4. Associated with the theory of integrated brand marketing, the essay discusses the creative development strategies of the brands extension and multi-brand, and establishes a complete procedure of the brand design planning for the overall design of the brand identity.5. Based on the theory of integrate marketing communication, the essay searches for a set of advertisement position methods and advertisement originality strategies, which are both fit for the present advertisement characteristics, and thusprovides the corporation with the methods of advertisement planning and design.6. The essay sums up a pattern of human resources management, concentrating on designers.
