Network Organization Research Based On Uncertainty

Since 1970s, the fictitious enterprises, sub-contracting system the strategy alliances, the semi-integration of supply chain and enterprises grouping have existed extensively and obtained great success. The scholars abstracted the same things from all these forms and summarized the generality with the network organization. Uncertainty is the most fundamental condition in social and economic development. It is a fact that the uncertainty is increasing with the emergence and development of the network organization. Is there coincidence or necessary relation between the two? In fact, every economic phenomenon especially the foundation and development of an economic organization has its own reasons, which can be explained theoretically to explore the theoretical logic. Therefore, there are not only practical meaning but also theoretical meaning to study the network organization from the point of the uncertainty theory.The article first summarizes the uncertainty theory, defines the uncertainty, explains the attribute, classification and the basic prerequisite and analyzes the evolution of the uncertainty and firm theory. Then, along the theoretical track and logic direction of "certainty- parametric uncertainty- structural uncertainty" and "the enterprise's identity hypothesis — difference hypothesis", the foundation and choice of the network organization are analyzed, the attribute, features and the boundary of the network organization are defined and its efficiency to decrease the uncertainty is also expounded. Finally, according to our real situations, our enterprise organizations' evolution trend under the uncertainty is analyzed.The article can be divided into four parts and the second and the third parts are the mainstays.The first part includes the first four chapters, which is the theoretical basis to study the network organization. The main contents include: (1) Summarize the research documents of the network organization. (2) Outline the uncertainty theory. The definition, attribute, classification and hypothesis prerequisite of uncertainty are expounded. (3) Analyze the evolution of the uncertainty and firm theory. In this part, the classical and neo-classical firm theory under the certainty analysis, the transaction cost theory under the parametric uncertainty analysis and the evolution economics and the firm's capability theory under the structural uncertainty analysis are analyzed and...
