In order to overcome the malpractices of the traditional management thoughtin western countries which emphasizes things and neglects man, stresses benefitand ignores justice, and to establish scientific and reasonable management thought,the author puts forward two couples of basic concepts, including the entitativehumanity and the model management, the practical humanity and the practicalmanagement. The author holds that the traditional western management thoughtbased on entitative philosophical humanity is model management, while themanagement thought based on Marxism practical philosophical humanity ispractical management. These two couples of concepts make the basic logicfoundation of this paper as well as the two basic clues in it.In model management, all sorts of humanity presuppositions were putforward continuously, for example, man of economy, man of society, man ofself-fulfillment and man of complexity, etc. Many management schools alsoappeared successively in management thought, for instance, the scientificmanagement theory, the behavior scientific management theory and the decisionmanagement school, etc. In fact, all kinds of management theories of modelmanagement and their entitative humanity forms reflected temporal history,contained some reasonable factor and played certain role during a certain time.However, just like a sword of two blades, model management has some limitationas well. For example, it emphasizes things and neglects human, stresses benefitand ignores justice, the reason of which is that the entitative philosophicalhumanity, which is simple, formal and abstract, and its social history root, whichcomprises essential conflict of Capitalism production way, are sure to get modelmanagement into a unquenchable corner in thinking way, methodology andaxiology.Therefore, the author puts forward the following three important basic ideas:practical humanity is the philosophy base which facilitates practical managementsurpassing model management;man-based management is the methodology whichpushes practical management surpassing model management;and corporateculture is the value pursue which makes practical management surpassing modelmanagement. The discussion of practical management surpassing modelmanagement is the core of this thesis.According to Marxist practical humanity, the author adopts such methods inresearch as unification of history and logic, literature research, contradictionanalysis and case analysis, etc. By adducing research accomplishments ofMarxism authors and management thinkers and successful cases both of domesticand oversea excellent enterprises as support, the author tries to put forward amanagement thought that satisfies corporate management practice demand. Finally,the author concludes that surpassing model management and establishing Marxistpractical management is necessary, and the latter contains not only importanttheoretical and practical value but also positive significance to the viewpoint ofscientific development of man-based management and the building of harmonioussociety in modern China.
