The energy security is the essential part of the national economic security system and has significance to the national economy and its development. In the modern society characteristic of economic globalization, the national security is also reflected in the field of economy. From the perspective of economic security, energy security refers to the condition where the energy controlled or owned by a country may satisfy the needs of a country to realize a sustainable economic development and participate in the world competition both in quantity and quality. From the perspective of supply-demand theory, the essence of energy security lies in the conflicts between supply and demand, which in turn focuses on the balance price. In other word, the core issue of energy security is the reasonable energy price and stable energy supply. The ultimate definition of energy security is to acquire a stable, secured and reliable supply of energy at a range of prices to meet the needs of national economy.Currently China has been faced with a series of challenges in the energy field during the development of a prosperous and healthy society: the sustainable resource supply is under great pressure; the development of economy and society is highly dependent on energy, whereas the energy efficiency is harder to improve although remains to have great potentials; energy security, especially oil security becomes more and more serious; the sustainable development is also under great pressure, especially how to meet the environment criteria that the future prosperous and healthy society requires.The paper discusses China's energy security against the globalization background from the following aspects:...
