| In the 11th National Economy and Society 5-Years Planning Program, government leaders clearly pointed out that modern logistics industry, especially the third party logistics (3PL) is a very important industry to develop in the following 5 years. In the same planning program, large logistics hubs and regional logistics centers' construction are also emphasized. Transportation industry should become precedence development industry. An integrated transportation system should be constructed with some advantages such as convenient, punctual, agility, safety and so on. At the same time, city group model should become main model in regional harmonious development in our country. It can improve city group's total competition ability.The Changjiang River delta city group lies in the leader situation in our country's regional economy development. But there are some choke point problems in the development of logistics distribution system in the Changjiang River delta cities such as lack of multi-level and multi-function logistics hubs' construction, lack of an integrated logistics distribution network, and etc. City group logistics distribution system's operation is isolated with urban planning, city group's economy development in the Changjiang River delta.Logistics distribution system based on the hub-and-spoke network model can improve rate and efficient of logistics distribution system in the Changjiang River delta with some advantages such as convenience, punctual, agility, integration and so on. Study on hub-and-spoke system is a new research area in our country. There are many improvement and innovation aspects could be studied in this area.
