Study On The Evolution And Optimization Of Agricultural Industrial Structure In The Middle Region Of China

The middle region is China's major grain production area. Both planting industry and breed aquatics industry play an important role among whole country. Because of the importance of agriculture of the middle region and its structural problems, adjustment and optimizing the agricultural industrial structure has become an important topic in the agricultural economy.Based on the theory of the agricultural structure of inside and outside countries and experiences of foreign agricultural restructure, pay attention to whole country and East and West region, the thesis emphasized on historical changes and actuality on the agricultural structure in the middle region, and putting forward the direction of optimization adjustment and main technical countermeasures. The following conclusions can be drawn based on the research:Firstly, stages of China's agricultural structure adjustment can be divided into three phases: 1. passive adaptation of agricultural structure adjustment (1952-1978); 2. Initializing adjustment of agricultural structure (1979-1998); 3. And the strategic adjustment of agricultural structure (1999 to currently).Secondly, the result represented "four basic harmonies " and "four asymmetries" based on a comprehensive analysis on agricultural structural changes in the middle region. Four basic harmonies are as following based on the analysis of data in 2004:(1) The coordination among the development of basic industrial sections in planting industry and breed aquatics industry.(2) The coordination between the development of the grain crops and the non-grain crops(3) The coordination between the national demand and regional contribution for the national grain safeness.(4) The coordination between the development tendency and the present situation of the industrial structure.The four asymmetries:(1) The asymmetries between the faster increase in the agricultural output and the slower increase in economy.(2) The asymmetries between the higher per capita grain output and lower per capita income of the peasants.(3) The asymmetries between the changes in agricultural output and in agricultural value.(4) The asymmetries between the lagging development of modern agriculture and the rapid development of modern agricultural technology.Thirdly, according to the regional functions of the main production areas of agriculture for national food security and the demands of comprehensive building of an affluent society, optimizing the goals and the direction of the agricultural structure in the area in 2020 are presented using agricultural comprehensive forecasting methods, in which the ratio of the values between farming and breeding will be 42.7:53.7 and the ratio of the areas between the grain crops and the...
