Analysis Of Status And Influential Factors On Industrial Structure Convergence Between Suzhou And Other Cities In Yangtze Delta Region

Suzhou is located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province with 2500 years' history and is famous for her history and culture.She is an important tourist city.In 2008,the GDP of Suzhou is 670.13 billion yuan(second place in Yangtze Delta Region ) and the industrial output value is 2.18 trillion yuan(second place in Yangtze Delta Region ).The utilized foreign capital of Suzhou is 8.1 billion U.S. Dollars(first place in Yangtze Delta Region ). Suzhou is developed with a strong momentum and becoming one of the most important center cities in Yangtze Delta Region.But,in the meantime of rapid economic development in Suzhou, in the process of competition and cooperation between Suzhou and other cities in the Yangtze Delta Region,it witnessed a serious industrial structure convergence and the phenomenon becoming more and more serious.Because of the industrial structure convergence and duplication,the advantages of Suzhou have not be fully play.So,in order to make Suzhou become to the fore in the Yangtze Delta Region and create a different road to the other cities in the Yangtze Delta Region,we must soft the Suzhou's industrial structure,develop different areas,change the "foreign-led" model of industrial development,put emphasis on the introduction and training of creative talents,.Finally,promote the coordinated development between Suzhou and other cities in the Yangtze Delta Region.
