Financial ecology is a new concept amplified on nature ecology. It had been paid widely attention on the theoretical and practical field when it was brought in the financial field since late 2004.There are two reason for it :one is that financial system has many nature system characters and the other is that financial ecology is a very special concept with Chinese characteristic which could help to analyze Chinese financial system problems such as financial resources allocation, non- performing loans (NPLs), marketing rules and so on. The past study tells us that it could not find the better answer when we only research in the inner of the financial system. So, it was the background that the concept of financial ecology was put up.Then, what is financial ecology? How about the logic of the financial ecology development? What constitute and decide Chinese financial ecology? These answers are the mainly logic connection of this paper. And the contents are as follows:Chapter one is the definition of the financial ecology. When we use the ecology methods to analyze financial problem, we could find that finance is a living organizational activity with many ecological features and has many characters of nature system. Such as finance also experience from simpleness to complexity and from primary to advanced, and still has the nature rule of selection. But different from the nature ecology, human being is the core of the financial ecology system. So the financial ecology system has its own special particularity. Based on the above point, we define the financial ecology as follow: the financial ecology is a dynamic balanced system where sections of the financial system and the external environments could affect each other, which include money provider, money demander, financial intermediaries and other service organizations.
