With a unique data set, this paper studies the entrepreneurs' psychologicalhealth and satisfaction, and the determinants of entrepreneurs' satisfaction by aregression model. Our major finding is: enterprises' psychological health should bepaid attention, to. All dimensions of entrepreneurs' satisfaction are significantly andnegatively correlated with anxiety and blahs. Our regression analysis on thedeterminants of entrepreneurs' satisfaction indicates: If governmental interventionmakes enterprises' burden increasingly heavier, the entrepreneurs would feelunhappy. In contrast, if the burden is lighter, entrepreneurs' happiness isinsignificantly affected. This finding is consistent with "loss aversion" theory inpsychological economics. Besides, we find higher income and education increaseshappiness, while the relationship between age and happiness is of inversed-U shape.Finally, entrepreneurs' sex, marital status and Hukou do not significantly affecthappiness.This paper is composed of seven chapters. Chapter 1 is an introduction of thequestions, meaningfulness, contents, methodology and structure of this study. The2nd chapter is an analysis of the theory of entrepreneur and the factors related toenterprise development. We will point out that, economics has not introducedentrepreneurs' psychological health as a factor of enterprise, development. Chapter 3is a theoretical analysis of entrepreneurs' characters, styles of decision making andenterprise development. Chapter 4 includes a descriptive statistics of entrepreneurs'psychological health. The relationship between entrepreneurs' satisfaction andpsychological health is the topic of the fifth chapter. The key chapteris the sixth thatis an empirical analysis on the relationship between enterprise development, thechange in enterprise burden and entrepreneurs' satisfaction. The seventh chapterconcludes and discusses the direction of future study, especially the effects ofentrepreneurs' psychological health on enterprise development.
