The strategy of sustainable development will be dominated on the 21st century. It is very important that we should utilize the mineral resources by more effective and reasonable way. So it is very practical that the theory of sustainable development of mining industry on entropy can be studied in detail. The studies about mineral resources have been classified into two, studies of one involved in reducing for minerals resources and substitution of traditional resources alone, the other included in pollution to be deal with in environment alone, sometime combined of two studies, but which can be lost essence. The project of the studies for sustainable development in mining had been put forward.The content of the paper mostly included: (1)With the tools of entropy and theory of sustainable development, the key to the sustainable development in mining had been studied.;(2) the equation of increasing entropy of the process in mining had been done, and be applied in practice, (3) By the brittleness of the complex system in mining on catastrophe had been done, which can help to deal with when and where to report the minus entropy. (4) We had use complex ecosystem for reference to analyze the characteristic of complex system in mining, The food chain of company in mining on minus entropy had been built, which just like "Pyramid" and can been high effectively utilize.(5) An example of copper mining in Yunnan had been studied on the increasing entropy, which showed that the minus entropy can be reduced effectively the entropy of system, under the value of the max on entropy of the system.The conclusion of the paper was as followed:1 .the calculation on chemical energy for the increasing entropy for lost resources had been done. The way of calculating entropy had been done from all factors in mining, and the max value on entropy increasing had been get too, which had been useful to deal with the problem how and how much to report the minus entropy. 2. By the brittleness of the complex system in mining, the wallop of thesystem on catastrophe had been done, which can help to deal with whenand where to report the minus entropy.3.We had use complex ecosystem for reference to analyze thecharacteristic of complex system in mining, which can be included wallopand feedback and the max bearing in mining. The food chain of companyin mining on minus entropy had been built, which just like "Pyramid" andcan been high effectively utilize.4. An example of copper mining in Yunnan had been studied on theincreasing entropy, which showed that the minus entropy can be reducedeffectively the entropy of system, under the value of the max on entropy ofthe system.5.the comparison of the increasing entropy for three type of production,the clean of production was best, which can be response the theory ofcycle-economy.6.the analysis of the brittle of the complex system in Yunnan Copper, hadbeen done, which result that the reasonable position had been selected forthe minus entropy.The innovation of the paper can be included:(1) The first combination of entropy and sustainable development had been done, and the way to the sustainable development in mining that the minus entropy can decide the course of the increasing entropy in the system, had been put forward.(2)The first use of thermodynamics in mining had been done by chemical energy of the lost resources, and the calculation of the increasing entropy had been done.(3) The first use of the brittleness of the complex system in mining on catastrophe had been done, which can help to deal with when and where the minus entropy to be reported.(4)The use of ecosystem in mining, which can apt to analyze the system in mining, and a new mode of structure like "pyramid" of system in mining had been built.
