The engineering project management is the cross subject, which combines the modern engineering technology, management theory and practice of engineering project. It is proved significant for progressing the quality of project, shortening period of working and saving money to carry out project management by practice. The major content of engineering project management includes schedule, cost, quality, risk. The schedule control is used to compare the actual progress with plan progress and get the bias of them, and then some measures are taken to eliminate the bias. Plan progress defines the status what the project should be while actual progress describes the status what the project is proceeding. The bias of them is the evidence to control. To guarantee the project is completed on schedule, on the one hand, plan progress should be established in reason, on the other hand the actual progress should be estimated impersonality.The purpose of this thesis is to research the schedule evaluation and control on the basis of summarizing and analyzing related latest literature. The research will be focused on the following several major topics:First of all, the background, purpose and significance are discussed; the development of engineering project management system is summarized; at the same time, the schedule evaluation and optimization algorithm are introduced.The focus of project management is progress evaluation and control after the engineering project is commenced. And the difficulty of the large project management is always the schedule evaluation. So the problem is discussed in this paper. First, from the point of view of methodology; the principle, content, sort and step of system evaluation are discussed; and then, on the basis of putting forward the comprehensive progress concept, according to the characteristics of great engineering project, considering various factors which effects the schedule. Sort weight is adopted to evaluate the project schedule. Finally, the idea of earned value method is naturalized in the comprehensive progress and the implement a measure are introduced consequently. The evaluated method of comprehensive schedule can not only reflects the actual schedule wholly, correctly, but also provide the information of investment and the bias of expenditure. This chapter takes example by hydroelectricity, engineering project, aimed at describing the theory and method of project control entirely, impersonality, which documents this research has important theory significance and application that schedule can be described by investment only. That the model of comprehensive schedule evaluation is put forward provides a new point of view of research. In application, for the establishment of the new project schedule, the successful experience absorbed from other project schedule management has important reference value. Additionally, the comprehensive schedule evaluation can provide the information about project progress wholly, impersonally and scientific evidence for microscopical decision of project.Some measures should be taken to control progress after evaluation on schedule is achieved. This thesis applies the particle swarm algorithm into time-cost optimization, puts forward the method of the network schedule optimization based on particle swarm algorithm, the example analysis is done. This research is a new idea on optimization of large engineering project schedule.The focus of management is progress control after the engineering project is commenced. For the engineering can be evaluated and controlled correctly, project breakdown structure must be built to achieve the detail, whole date in time. So, this paper researchs the existing problem of engineering management; analyzes the necessity to build the management communication flat of large engineering project and the principle and significance of constituting the anite frame of management mathematics model; introduces five decompose systems and the actuality of project management and the existing problem; confirms the principle and methods of management mathematics model of large engineering project.In the end, corresponding actual application is provided this mathematics model is applied to the project of Lancang river hydroelectric station in Yunnan. According to this evaluation model of comprehensive schedule, the comprehensive schedule evaluation of the unit project of diversion tunnel is analyzed, which is the most important prophase unit project in Xiaowan hydroelectric station.
