Study On Development Mode Of Our Country's Elementarily Agricultural Products Concerning Geographical Indications

As an important way to protect and develop high-grade agricultural product, geographical indications has been widely used in developed countries. However, the concept of geographical indications occurs comparatively late in China, and current research on geographical indications has been limited to the area of jurisprudence analysis and Intellectual Property protection. Under this circumstance, this dissertation systematically studies the role geographical indications plays in elementarily agricultural products production based on fundamental theory of management science, put forward strategy for building elementarily agricultural products concerning geographical indications. This dissertation will help to upgrade the economic benefit of agricultural industry, and the measure to strengthen competence of agricultural products in international markets.This dissertation makes comprehensive survey on registration status of elementarily agricultural products concerning geographical indications. This paper chooses 38 kinds of elementarily agricultural products concerning geographical indications from 17 provinces. 2350 questionnaire has been put out and 1653 effective questionnaire has been taken back. The survey is undertaken from such angles as cognition of geographical indications, evaluation on geographical indications system and using effect of geographical indications.Elementarily agricultural products are very important in agricultural industry chain. Based on stakeholder theory, this dissertation has identified such stakeholder as farmer, agency institution, government and related enterprises and analyzes the demand as well as action mode of different stakeholders. After that, this dissertation put forward three developing modes of elementarily agricultural products which are dominantly by government, by agency institution and by enterprises. At the same time, this dissertation analyzes the relation and difference of those three modes and points out the advantages as well as disadvantages of different modes. Finally, this dissertation studies the optimal developing modes of elementarily agricultural products concerning geographical indications by questionnaire and case analysis.Based on empirical analysis and comparison analysis, making use of exchange cost theory in system economy and industry organization theory in industry economy, this dissertation systematically analyzes the role that agency institution plays in elementarily agricultural products development concerning geographical indications, put forward the developing mode characterized by agency institution dominantly. Further more, this dissertation discusses how to transit the developing modes of elementarily agricultural products from government dominantly to agency institution dominantly.
