Based on some actual problems such as unclear dynamic mechanism, big zoology & environment pressure and lower zoology & environment quality in the urbanization in western areas of China, the urbanization system in western areas of China is looked as a manageable dissipative structure system and was researched by using of entropy theory. The main achievements and innovations of the paper are expressed as:(1)It is found that the urbanization system in western areas of China is a dissipative structure system including assembling and diffusing urban and rural factors and the system can increase main drive force and driven force of the urbanization system in big extent in western areas of China by using of increasing internal energy flow from corresponding environments via technological innovation, system innovation, management innovation and knowledge innovation and introducing bigger negative entropy flow into the system.(2)An enduring thresholds model of zoology & environment system that indicates relation between entropy increases of the urbanization system in western areas of China and endurable capability of zoology & environment system is established due to endurable capability point of view based on dissipative structure theory and entropy change equation. The results reveal that some emissions from resource exploitation, energy consumption and other wasters in the urbanization system in western areas of China must be controlled into certain suitable range.(3)A submitted entropy effect coefficient of zoology & environment compositive influence in the urbanization system in western areas of China is used to evaluate compositive influence extent from the urbanization system to its zoology & environment. And the entropy effect coefficient with some characteristic such as time dependent and high nonlinear features in the Urumqi city is identified by using of LS-SVM(namely Least Squares Support Vector Machine) method. The results reveal that most identification error by LS-SVM method is less than 3.56% and its identification precision is high. (4)Based on maximum entropy principle, fuzzy membership function on ecological environmental quality in urbanization in western china could be established. Through the spread of fuzzy entropy, a new fuzzy entropy assessment method could be promoted to evaluate city ecological environmental quality in western china. Via the analysis of fuzzy entropy in the Urumqi city, The main factor which affects ecological environment in the Urumqi city is that the ecological environment doesn't develop coordinately with its commercial and social environment.(5)Based on entropy change model in dissipative structure theory, the mechanisms, approach and tactics in the scientific development of western urbanization system can be understood. Research shows that the sustainable development of urbanization in western China is a process of which the total entropy change is gradually reduced, only by continuously increasing the flow negative isentropic and reducing the flow of positive isentropic, can improve the capacity and increase the opportunities during the coordination of development and weaken the external threats.
