An Investigation On Korea Leading Industrial Technology Innovation Mode

The nature of the industrialization of Korea is a skipping-industrial-structure-mode. From the first program to the realization of the industrialization, the leading industries realize the leaping over from labor-intensive to capital, technology and knowledge intensive industries. The industrial structure of the nation is not only the result of natural coordination but also powerful policies of the government. In different phases of economical development, the Korean government has constantly propelled industrial technology to move forward through implementing strategies of industrial development during which the learning of industrial technology experienced three phases of obtaining, absorbing and improving. In different phases of industrial development, innovation of industrial technology chose a transformation from simple imitation to creative imitation leading by big business and to independent innovation mode by leading production, teaching & research subject.The success of Korean industrialization is actually a success of the construction of industrial technology innovation system. The process of industrial technology approaching in depth and extent is a process of national innovation system being mature in which industry are the principal part of innovation and a process of transformation from imitation to innovation of industrial technology. In different times of Korean industrialization, as political and economical environment changes home and broad, and as environment of foreign technology transfer and technological capability of domestic industry changes, the industrial, technological, governmental and educational departments keep dynamic and harmonious relationship concerning adjustment of national strategic goals in different times, guaranteeing a constant improvement of international competence of industry. The technological capability of industrial develops from imitation and innovation, establishing an industry-oriented system of R&D and innovated investment gradually.This research takes advantage of a view of integrity and dynamic process of technological innovation to systematically study the technological innovation pattern of Korean leading industry and phrasal characteristics of Korean industrial technological innovation and seek to summarize rules of great-leap-forward development of the late-development countries industrial technology. Based on industrial technological innovation types of different times, this research summaries technological innovation patterns of Korean leading industries into the following types: labor-intensive industry and simple imitation innovation, capital-intensive heavy industry and creative imitation innovation technology and knowledge intensive industry and independent innovation mode based on which this research further analyses the motivation and limitation of transformation of Korean industrial technological innovation patterns. Finally, this paper summarizes revelatory the industrial technological innovation patterns and reveals essence of the late-development countries industrial technology innovation system constructing from philosophy of technology and philosophy of industry angle.
