This dissertation discovers that both the mainline aircraft manufactures Boeing and Airbus and regional jet manufactures Bombardier and Embraer belong to typical duopoly model by studying their development histories, business scopes and international co operations. Their relationship displays the characteristics of both competition and corporation. Using Cournot Model and Stalberg Model, the dissertation analysises the competition strategy of aircraft manufactures in terms of price and output.This dissertation deduced the theory of the formation of aviation city by duopoly model in micro-economics, industry transfer theory in international economics and industry aggregation theory in spatial economics. And it, through the empirical study of mature aviation cities such as Seattle, Montreal, France Air Valley approves the theory of the formation of aviation city.This dissertation, through theories and practices, proved basic conditions for building an aviation town in Tianjin: the existence of the leading oligarchy, that is, the main system integrators. Airbus A320 Final Assembly Line and Avicopter Final Assembly Line both located in Tianjin; substantial situations prove Tianjin occupies basic needs for building an aviation city, such as the Tianjin Binhai New Area's development and opening up, Tianjin's infrastructure and industrial facilities, air conditions, airports, government support and the construction of national civil aviation cashier industry base, and so on.This dissertation, taking into consideration basic conditions in Tianjin and referring to experience and lessons of the development of aviation cities abroad, proposes principles of the development of Tianjin Aviation City, in respects of industry chain theory, characteristics of the leading oligarchs driven, industrial clustering, industry transfer and independent innovation. And it also proposes ideas of the development of the aviation city from the three stages: the stage of industrial clustering, interactive development and upgrading of industries, and achieving global industry chain interaction. And it also proposes suggestions on policy of developing Tianjin's aviation industry, which provides references for speeding up the construction of Tianjin Binhai New Area and the construction and development Aviation now.
