As a constituent part of the tertiary industry, tourism has become one of thefastest growing and emerging industries in the world. With China’s strategic guidelinethat establishes the "expanding domestic demand and promoting consumption" as theadjustment of industrial structure, and changes the mode of economic development,China’s tourism industry has come into a period of significant growth opportunity.However, the Binhai tourism industry, as an important part of modern tourist economy,is explicated as one of the main attack directions to "promote the development ofmarine economy" in China’s "Twelfth Five-Year Plan". In this background, theTianjin municipal party committee and municipal government promote the plan toestablish Tianjin Binhai Tourism Area. Meanwhile, the cultural and creative industryhas been flourished in China in recent years, which has been positioned as one of thecity pillar industries in many rather developed cities. Meanwhile, the concept ofculture and creative and tourism industry is becoming the development trend of theera.Therefore, the paper comprehensively uses a variety of logical analysis,document analysis method, theoretical analysis method, case analysis method andempirical analysis method, selects three aspects of the city brand image, tourismindustry and tourism products to systematically research the characteristicsdevelopment of Tianjin Binhai Tourism Area based on the concept of cultural andcreative idea and the systematic research discussion of application in urbandevelopment, and puts forward specific positioning and planning recommendations.At last, the paper summarizes research conclusions and deficiencies, as well asproposes four aspects of suggestions to develop the characteristics of Tianjin BinhaiTourismArea for the government.The paper researches the characteristics development of Tianjin Binhai TourismArea and provides certain theoretical research basis for the future in-depth study andspecial project study of Tianjin Binhai Tourism Area, which will also providenumerous creative ideas and good suggestions for the Sino-Singapore Eco-city,Tianjin Binhai Tourism Area, the Marine Economic Area and the total planning ofHangu Village Street after integration, and will have certain reference significance forother places in China to promote the urbanization development.
