City Rationalize The Layout Of Tianjin Binhai New Area And The Sustainable Development Strategy

In the past 11 years, the Tianjin Binhai New Area (TBNA) has realized rapid development and made remarkable achievements in the industry as well as the economy. It enjoys the superior location, vast hinterland, abundant reserves of natural resources, the mighty industrial base and rich hi-tech talents, most promising trading market and consumption market, which has attracted many domestic and overseas investors. In addition, in the 11th Five-Year-Plan Period of China, the central government has decided to further develop the TBNA to serve the Circum-Bohai Region, and solve the problems of economic imbalance between north economy and south economy in China. This is the best opportunity for the future development of the TBNA, however, under the new economic environments the old urban plan has exposed various kinds of problems in spatial plan, economic structure and ecological environments. So it is urgent for us to make new reasonable urban planning strategy and put forward methods to solve these problems to make the TBNA develop more harmoniously, steadily and sustainably.This paper firstly illustrated the background of the research and its significance, then gave a general introduction of the TBNA. According to its own characteristics, the paper analyzed the advantages and disadvantages for the development of the TBNA. By introducing the region plan and sustainable development theory, on the basis of the existing structural frame, the new reasonable spatial layout and sustainable development strategy together with the corresponding implementation strategy have been brought out, which has a positive practical value and realistic significance for the administration in construction management and sustainable development of the TBNA.
