Coal resource is the largest energy resources and industrial raw materials in our country,and its important strategic position of energy structure in our country will be stable andlong-term. Shaanxi is one of the important energy bases in China's energy strategy. Thesustainable development of the coal industry in Shaanxi will affect the development ofnational economy and energy supplies. Based on the domestic and abroad theoretical researchof sustainable development of coal industry, this thesis constructed the theory frame, andcomprehensively used such methods as system analysis principle, economics, statistics,system engineering, cybernetics and optimization theory to lucubrate each subsystem ofEERS of the sustainable development of coal industry in Shaanxi. The main achievements areas follows:(1)The input-output table of coal industry in 2002 and 2007 were compiled throughclassifying industry branches in Shaanxi province. On this basis, the article analysed itsinput-output dependence, association, industry effect, the economic benefit and the simulationon the product price of coal industry and others in shaanxi; the major conclusions for coaindustry are that degree of dependence is low, degree of association is high, the producinginducement of ultima demand is the smallest, economic benefit is higher, and the effect ishigher for coal to its related industry.(2)This article discussed the correlation between the development of the coal industryand environmental pollution in Shaanxi, and believed the characteristics of the coal industrywas "weak reverse u-shaped + u-shaped" and the left reverse u-shaped curve of EKC; usedsystem dynamics to simulate the environmental situation and trend of coal industry between 1996 and 2020, its conclusions are that synthetical coefficient of air pollution is declinggradually, water pollution is aggravating, releasing amount of solid castoff is rising, and theenvironment would worsen; adopted the model of environmental pressure- supportive ofShaanxi coal industry, measured its pressure, supportive and carrying capacity, the conclusionshowed that both pressure and supportive of environmente raised yearly, and the carryingcapacity increased earlier but decreased from 2001 to 2008.(3)The main researches on problem of the optimal exploitation of coal or mineralresources are limited to the span-period optimization model which only takes output ascontrol variable, but not takes environmental cost of coal mining or technological progress ascontrol variable. This article analyzed the structure characteristic and run law of resourcessubsystem and the influence factors of shanxi coal output systematically; established theoptimization model and further extended it by introducing the technological progress,environment cost into the model; through simulating functions of cost and price, ascertainingsome relevant parameters, using VC visual programming, the article figured out the modeland its results used mathmatical methods of extremum and numerical analysis andoptimization theory; forecasted the coal output by the model above.(4) At present evaluation system is very colossal and evaluation procedure is extremelycomplicated because there are many co-ordination and evaluation indicators of sustainabledevelopment system. Based on analysing on EERS subsystems of sustainable development ofthe coal industry, this article used the theories and methods of sustainable developmentsystem evaluation, and respectively selected a key indicator or the results of its operations ofsuch subsystems to multi-dimensionally analysed and evaluated the level of sustainmentdevelopment of each subsystem, comprehensive development level, the state of thecoordination, the coordination coefficient and sustainability of EERS subsystems ofsustainable development of the coal industry in Shaanxi.Such researches will deepen and improve the sustainable development theory and itssystem theory of the coal industry; such research will also provide theoretical guidance anddecision-making foundation for stepping into the overall coordination development of coalindustry in Shaanxi as soon as possible.
