Recently, the Yangtze River Waterway Bureau continues to carry out technological innovations, upgrading equipment and applying new technologies around hydrology testing methods of subordinate hydrologic stations. The paper introduces the use of modern test technology in Yangtze River, based on technically creative results, focusing on related research of myself. The main researches are as below.Firstly, the paper gives an overall introduction of the application of ADCP in Yangtze River and builds a transformation model using discharge measurement data obtained from ADCP and velocity meter method, perfectly solving the interface conflict between the numerical data and measured data in theory and in practice, which is crucial for the perfection on ADCP technology.Secondly, in order to more accurately represent water depth data, a new method of depth extraction method is put forward. At the same time, the flow direction-correcting method based on GPS is presented with consideration of the problem of low accuracy and difficulty to measure in the measurement by sailing ADCP.Thirdly, the information performance technology is adopted in this paper, combining regional hydrology information gained from ADCP with geographic information using Google Earth. With this technology, test section position, river situation, shape situation, and velocity distribution can be determined entirely after obtaining ADCP data, which displays the overall information of the testing and provides visual platform for ADCP data, section situation and flow regime analysis.Fourthly, a calculation model of profile sandiness transportation intensity is built by studying Acoustic Doppler sandiness technology, which reduces samples and makes up for the shortcoming of traditional single-point sediment test methods of data’s uncertainty, but has high sensitivity to determine single-point sediment data, resulting in big calculation errors and low stability. For these factors above, the calculation model is feasible in the situation of large amounts of samples and for whole section sediment concentration distribution experiment, while it can’t meet demands when put in production.Fifthly, in the light of the problems that the calculation accuracy is low for sediment concentration by Laser Scattering and Transmissometer-100X(LISST-100X) only using the output value of instrument and the sandiness content of measuring points, on the basis of full data-mining of LISST-100X and considering the different contributions to total sediment by various graded sediment and making the use of its advantage of simultaneous measurement of sediment gradation, we propose multiple linear regression method to calculate sediment concentration. It is proved by experiments that the sediment calculations are remarkably accurate.Last, velocity measurement based on video monitor technology is promoted, which simplify space length and velocity measurement method, making tour-measuring for velocity and flow tests possible.
