Under the effects of serious oil resource shortage and environmental pollution, the watered heavy oil, which yields both economic profits and environmental benefits, has been widely concerned. In this article, we used the self-made mechanical micro-mixing device instead of adding emulsifier to produce the watered heavy oil, analysis the optimization technology of watered heavy oil preparation with lab experiment, test and verify the energy saving of it by the combustion test of industrial application. Then we learned the operation rules and analyzed the energy saving mechanism from the research, as well as the economy.First, a self-made device was established, in which the mechanical micro-mixing is the central part. Without any emulsifier, watered heavy oil was prepared by three levels mechanical micro-mixing, which made water evenly disperse in heavy oil in micron dimension. The experiment studied the relationship between the viscosity which is the important physical property of watered heavy oil and oil temperature, agitation speed, ratio of water. The results showed that:viscosity of watered fuel oil decreases with the increasing of oil temperature, but increases with the accelerating of agitation speed and the growing ratio of water.Secondly, the dispersed phase droplet size and dispersion is an important standard to measure the quality of watered heavy oil. On this basis, the preparation technology of watered heavy oil was optimized. The research showed that, when the temperature increases, the droplet particle size in watered fuel oil decreases, the water number density increases, meanwhile, with the accelerating of agitation speed, the droplet size becomes smaller and the water number density gets higher, then the dispersion becomes better. It also says when the water mixing ratio rises, the water droplet size in watered fuel oil turns bigger, and the bead density first rises and then declines.Additionally, the mechanical micro technology and the magnetic treatment technology work together, which can further improve the micro level of droplet in watered heavy oil. The water droplet size decreases with increasing the magnetic strength and oil flow under magnetization. It is the best method to magnetize the heavy oil before watering when we produce the watered heavy oil. At last, the research studied the water droplet size in watered heavy oil, the ratio of water, then whose influence on the boiler thermal efficiency, the fuel saving rate and the CO discharge amount by the watered heavy oil on line application in industrial combustion test. The research informed that the CO emission decreases, boiler thermal efficiency and fuel saving rate increase when we use the watered heavy oil which is prepared by mechanical micro-mixing. With decreasing water droplet size, the boiler thermal efficiency and fuel saving rate increase, but the CO emission decreases. What is more, the water droplet size is verified as a standard to measure the quality of watered heavy oil by combustion test. When the ratio of water contents is3.5%~5.0%in watered heavy oil, the boiler thermal efficiency reaches the highest range, the effect of fuel saving keeps in the best level, the CO emission stays low. The preparing device of watered heavy oil which could apply to oilfield, shipping etc. in order to bring great economic benefit has good market profit space.
