The market today is changing towards the personalized consumption environment rapidly. On one hand, consumers’ behavior is more selective, the requirements of "customization, small batch, delivering fast" are increasing constantly; on the other hand, products deliver cycle and lifespan are getting shorter and shorter, all of these bring tremendous challenges to the enterprises’ traditional product design and production mode. Under this background, the personalized product customization technology and three-dimensional parameter designing technique arise at the historic moment and obtain tremendous development. That the customers participate in the whole process of the product design and development are allowed by using customizing technology creatively, and this mode meets the customer’s many kinds of demands to the maximum extent; and the application of three-dimensional parametric design and virtual assembly technology promotes the efficiency of enterprise’s designing capability greatly, and it has improved the response speed of enterprises to customers’ demand. Then, how to combine the two advantages and characteristics, realize the double effects of meeting customers’ demand as well as promoting the efficiency of product design, is becoming the pursued goal of producing, designing and manufacturing of modern enterprise.At present, the domestic and international scholars are separately carrying on extensive research on the personalized product customization and three-dimensional parameter design theory and their applications in engineering projects, but because the personalized products customize and the three-dimensional parameter coordinary design both have short history, and the design method to unify the three-dimensional parametric design and individual product customization technology and combine the technological advantage of two Design philosophy is not ripe enough, and its theoretical system and key technology need further exploring. Therefore, study of the customized three-dimensional parameter design theory and practice on the basis of the personalized product has important realistic meanings of developing the advanced manufacturing mode at home.Under the fund subsidy of relevant projects, this paper proposes the three-dimensional parameter design theory based on the personalized products customization, and has launched a series of research work on its theoretical foundation, design philosophy, key technology, etc. This paper surveys the development overview of domestic and international personalized product customization, three-dimensional parametric design at first, and has carried out a more overall summary in the current research situation. On this basis, the personalized products customization based three-dimensional parametric design system is set up around the enterprise’s actual demand.The mainly innovation work of this paper has such following aspects:(1) The work flow of the personalized customization and parametric collaborative design system of large mechanical product in small batch product mode is proposed, and the problems of personalized product customization based parametric design system in networked manufacturing environment are studied, and the redevelopment methods of Agent customization based module framework and OLE based three-dimensional parametric design system are presented, too.(2) This paper proposes a product configuration model based on polychromatic graph theory, and the product configuration project model according to the cosumers’ customization demand prososed in this paper is solved by ant colony optimization algorithm, while the local optimal solution faults about the ant colony optimization algorithm are improved.(3) A three-dimensional large-scale compressor parametric design module based on embedded technology is developed with Microsoft VC++developing language. On this basis, the virtual reality technology is applied to analyse the compressor three-dimensional entity assembly process, and the dynamical assembly demonstration, assembly sequence, assembly parts numbers and assembly efficiency are systematically studied.(4) This paper studies the parametric design method of complex parts and assembly, and the accurate three-dimensional entity model of blade wheel of some large-scale compressor’s key part is built in the Solidworks environment with the application of depicting point spline curve technique and procedural-driven mapping draft technique, and a steady fundament is structured for the future engineering analysis such as gas stream analysis by Ansys.(5) The B/S architecture based client system is developed by JSP technique, and the design and implementation of client systems based on C/S architecture are realized through Java3D technology and Socket programming, and the paper develope a relational database to store system components, customers’ orders and configuration, etc.
