Study On Pattern Of Tianjin Urbanization Since1990

In order to prom ote the rela ted research of urbanization patterns, this dissertationattempts to revea l the s patial characteristics and the m echanism of its inf luencingfactors of Port cities in Chinese Bo hai Bay during their transition period since1990.With a case study of T ianjin, it adopts tec hniques from Regional Economics, SocialStatistics and Mathematical Modeling and other methods, based on a com prehensiveutilization of census data, the Sta tistical Yearbook data and urban planning outcomedata. It carries out a sys tematical and comprehensively research of features and themechanism of factors underlying T ianjin pattern of urbanization, also som e ne wphenomena in urbanization after2005are al so discussed. T he major results of thestudy are as follows:Firstly, the evolution of T ianjin urbanization since1990has under gone a tremendouschange. The spatial structure of the populat ion changes can be summ arized as fromthe "jum ped concentric structure" evolved into "dual-core fan-shaped structu re"complex and evolving as a "fan-shaped struct ure of a single center" in the proces s,while the s patial structure of econom ic e volved from1990’ s "fan" s tructure into2000’s "dual-core fan" structure and has been maintained until2010. Before2005, themost obvious changes happened in regional c onstruction is the development of urbansystem, in the same period, the focus of urban and rural planning is also the dynamicchanges.Secondly, the asymm etric conjugate dual-co re structures, as well as their oppositeexpanding are two characters of Tianjin urbanization. Compared with the urbanizationpattern of dom estic and foreign count ries, T ianjin urba nization has commoncharacteristics, also showed unique phenomenon. Compared with the typicalurbanization pattern such as Zhujiang Model and Sunan Model, rural industrializationis also exits in T ianjin urbaniz ation, but ther e are sign ificant dif ferences in th eurbanization impetus and direction of external linkages.Finally, the developm ent direction of the Tianjin urban ization in ne w era is th estructure transformation of “conjugate symm etric dual-core”. For reach ing this goal,different areas should have their own controlling strategies madding by their Locationcharacteristics.In summary, this paper makes up the lack of urbanization studying on T ianjin, enrichthe study of quantitative m ethods of urbanization, expanded the re search perspectiveand thus it has a certain theoretic value.
