With continuous development of economy and improvement of people’s livingstandards in recent years, the construction industry increases rapidly. Building energyconsumption and indoor air quality are the two important issues of concern to the builtenvironment field. Creating non-uniform indoor air environment will promote nationaland world’s building energy efficiency, and can also be used to improve indoor airquality and promote the upgrading of HVAC technology. The study on creatingnon-uniform indoor air environment is not only an academic contribution, but also veryimportant in the projects of indoor environment.This paper focuses on the dispersion of passive gas and heat transfer theory and itsapplications on non-uniform indoor environment. The theoretical algorithm ofcontaminant concentration, temperature, and moisture distribution is proposed, and thecontrol strategy of non-uniform indoor parameter under steady air flow condition, aswell as the air parameters in complex air conditioning system is investigated. The maincontributions of the dissertation are as follows:(1)The transient accessibility indices to describe the impact of various boundaryand initial conditions in the ventilated room are defined, and the algebraic expression ofthe transient distribution of contaminant concentration under steady air flow is proposed.The algebraic expression is validated by both experimental measurement and numericalsimulation, and the applications of the expression in ventilation optimization, sourceidentification and online control are discussed.(2)An algebraic expression withaccessibility indices to calculate the moisture distribution in ventilated room is drawnup, and the calculation method for indoor non-uniform humidity with wall condensationis presented. The calculation model is validated by experimental measurement andnumerical simulation method.(3)An algebraic expression with accessibility indices todescribe the heat transfer and calculate the temperature distribution in ventilated roomunder steady air flow condition is given, The expression is validated by experimentalmeasurement and numerical simulation and the applicability of the expression withinHVAC field is analyzed.(4) The optimal control algorithm of non-uniformenvironmental parameters of single room is developed, which can achieve the optimization of non-uniform temperature control strategy, and the calculation method ofindoor contaminant concentration in complex air conditioning system is proposed.The above researches on the distribution theory of non-uniform indoorenvironmental parameters and its applications on design and control method in HVACsystem could be an important theoretical support to the creation methodology ofnon-uniform indoor environment.
