The kitchen could be divided into the commercial kitchen and the residential kitchen according to its functions. The central air-conditioning system was commonly applied in the commercial kitchen, as a result of which, it was much too expensive for the common residents to enjoy. As for the residential kitchen, the high temperature and cooking fumes made the kitchen environment unbearable for the operators because no air-conditioning system was applied. With the development of national economy and the improvement of people's living standards, more and more attention was paid to the improvement of kitchen environment. It is suggested that the underlying direction for the improvement of kitchen lie in applying the high performance lampblack presser and domestic air-conditioning to the residential kitchen.A new kind of energy-saving and environmental lampblack presser and embedded ultra-thin ceiling type air-conditioning were applied to the common residential kitchen in this paper. And the CFD technology was applied under different operating conditions to carry out the numerical simulation of the velocity field,temperature field and CO2 concentration field of the kitchen room in which the lampblack presser and air-conditioning were installed, with the results analyzed afterward. On the basis of the numerical simulation, experiments were carried out on a residential kitchen. The results of the numerical simulation and experiments provide the base for the development and applications of the integrated kitchens.The main achievements are as follows:1. Considering the comfortableness of the kitchen environment, numerical simulation was carried out for the velocity field and temperature field of the kitchen room in which the lampblack presser and air-conditioning were installed under different operating conditions. The results showed that more comfortable environment was created when adopting the downward air supply mode rather than the upward air supply mode, and the optimum jet angle for the downward air supply mode turned out to be 15°.2. Both the downward air supply mode and the upward air supply mode showed a certain energy-saving performance by absorbing outdoor air as indoor air compensation to lower the energy consumption of the air-conditioning.3. It was suggested by the experiment results and the analyses that the downward air supply mode has a better performance of energy-conservation, enviornment-protection and convience than the upward air supply mode, which was in accordance with the numerical simulation.
