New-type urbanization, forsaking the traditional urbanization type characterizedby enclosure, large-scale city construction and predatory exploitation, puts forwardnew thoughts and methods for development. New-type urbanization aims at buildingan ecologically friendly China, which lays emphasis on “blue sky, green land andclean water”. In China, old-type urbanization has left numerous problems, such as thedeterioration of ecological environment and the lower life quality of residents. Therefore, when planning the ecologically livable new-type urbanization, we shouldplan, fix up and improve current environmental space through outlining, remedying, and improving. As for the framework and theory of new-type urbanization, we shouldinsist on intensive and green planning and adjust measures to different conditions ofrural and urban areas. To build a beautiful China, new-type urbanization should take ecological effect, social effect, and economic effect into consideration in rural and urban planning.Against such background, green infrastructure emerges to meet the demand socially, economically and ecologically. This concept arises from people’s recognition ofsustainable land use and sustainable development. Green infrastructure is anecological framework in service of the healthy and comprehensive development ofenvironment, society and economy. It is established in the balance of developmentactivity and natural environment as well as the coordination of natural and humanecology. In a manner of speaking, green infrastructure is an important planning theoryand method in terms of ecological construction within the bigger picture of ournew-type urbanization. However, the integration of theory and practice remainsunsolved. For this reason, this thesis explored the method to build an ideal homeland–ideal both in natural environment and in human ecology–through the application ofthe planning framework of green infrastructure and the arrangement of land use forgreen space in rural and urban areas, so as to realize the final environmental objectivein material space. This thesis proceeds from the definition and job content of green infrastructureconstruction as well as the theories and practices home and abroad. Onepistemological level, it analyzes the relationship between green space construction and green infrastructure planning in new-type urbanization. On methodological level,it constructs the planning framework of green infrastructure on the basis of theconstruction of the rural and urban green space network system. On technologicallevel, it considers linear factor system, facet factor system, and point factor system ofgreen infrastructure as well as the engineering system of green ecological technologyto implement the specific planning of green space for rural and urban areas in theprocess of urbanization. The author makes a qualitative and quantitative analysis onthese factor systems of urban and rural green space of different levels, and then putsforward planning methods and technological framework of land use layout. At thesame time, the author proposes specific planning strategies catering to greeninfrastructure of different scales so as to optimize the urban and rural green space. Themethods and suggestions for the implementation and long-term management of greeninfrastructure in new-type urbanization are put forward in the thesis as well.
