Along with the construction of new socialist countryside and the strategy of urban-rural integration carrying out, urban-rural relationship will be substantial adjustment, and the development of city and regional presents new characteristic and requirement. It is that development of the city and the countryside is consistent and interactive. On one side, the traditional development mode is close come to the end, which is the city’s reasons, also is the requirement of rural development.On the other side, urban-rural spatial integration, Industrial interaction, and benefit coordination demand of urban and rural harmonized development. At present, many areas actively preparates urban-rural integraiion planning. However, these practice lacks corresponding theoretical guidance. Therefore, this paper selects urban-rural integraiion planning as research topic.This paper is divided into8chapters.Chapter1is introduction. Indicate background, menning, basics, consideration and way of this paper. Fristly clarify the study’s necessity, then reviewed related theory of rban-rural integraiion, lastly elicits the study consideration, way and frame.Chapter2is the background of urban-rural integraiion planning. Analysising from three aspects. The frist is Urbanization is changed into a new platform and a stage, showing new characteristics of urban and rural development;the second is the bottleneck of the development has become increasingly prominent factor, the pressure continued to increase the natural environment, and based support system of urban and rural development is being perfected;the third is China’s urban and rural planning system reform improving the preparation, especially the "Town and Country Planning Act" was promulgated. Meanwhile, the chapter focuses on several areas of China’s current urban and rural planning practices of the sort, the problems of these practices are summarized. Chapter3is the concept and methods of holism. This paper first traces the source of holism, summed up three principles of holism, then make methods of holism planning. Finally, holism’s reasonableness applied to urban and rural planning are discussed.Chapter4is theory of urban-rural integraiion planning under the concept of holism. This paper establishs a philosophy, science, technology, three-level system of urban-rural integraiion planning theory.Chapter5is the role of urban-rural integraiion planning. Firstly this paper analyzes the basic characteristics and value of overarching planning, secondly determines the nature and major functions of urban-rural integraiion planning.Chapter6is the content and framework of urban-rural integraiion planning.
