The Renewal Of Public Space Study Of Small And Medium-sized City In Zhejiang Based On The Objective System

In the process of rapid urbanization, Small and medium-sized cities experiencing the process of urban renewal, like big cities. More and more public space is needed, a lot of public space renewal projects, including the old town square, street, park and so on has carried on the different degree of upgrading. There are a lot of small medium-sized cities in china, each has its own characteristics in economy, society, population, resources, culture and other aspects, some problems have emerged in the public space renewal projects.This article is the combination of theory, method and case studies. Urban public space is a complex system, the objective system involves social, economic and environment fields which need for a systematic analysis. The study takes medium and small city public space in Zhejiang as the research object, using the methodology of "The objective system" and the theory of urban design method in the construction of a more comprehensive and operability system in the process of renewal of small and medium-sized cities, and make a research on the objective elements of standardization. The article develops a set of analytical methodology including the theory foundation, the method construction and the sites pilot to deal with the renewal of small and medium-sized urban public space. The method make up the lack of the target management, scientific program and the corresponding technical specifications, and solve the problem of subjectivity, it can improve operability of the plan in different market environment.The study applies innovative mathematical methods and computer program for the "The objective system" factor calculation, analysis and optimization, in which the selection of relatively stable quantitative data, solves the conclusion deviation according to subjective judgment, it make the analysis of the final conclusion more objective. Finally, representative of the case was given to verify the feasibility of this study.The article is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter introduces the research background, research purpose, the basic concepts, research methods, as well as the research framework. The second chapter refers to the relevant literatures for the development of Chinese and western public space and urban renewal, also with the development trends and the main research aspects. The third chapter discusses the phenomenon, the existing problems and points out realistic objective of small and medium-sized city public space renewal on the practical research regions in three cities, extracts the basic research ideas for studying the small and medium-sized urban public space renewal analysis method. The fourth chapter summarize analysis of the theoretical basis and method of the research support, and build the small and medium-sized "objective system" structure of urban public space renewal model, and set up a unified platform for the factor model which contains the target factor to standardize research. The fifth chapter describes the technical route also with the calculation and analysis process of the objective factor for the small and medium-sized urban public space renewal. The research results are applied in the case study of the ChangXing People Square reconstruction project for example in the sixth chapter. The last chapter summarizes and reviews the conclusion and the innovation of this thesis, and makes a brief outlook on the next stage of the study.
