Landscape image as an important content runs through landscape design, form expression, the audience synesthesia, experience and cognition, which has two-way effects for the creators and recipients, and is one of the most important characteristics of the landscape creation. As a compound research concept, the complexity and diversity of the image led the landscape image to be a multid isciplinary cross-over study. Most domestic and foreign studies about landscape image focused on the real landscape object and the mental and psychological representation. Despite both based on different theories, the essence of them is the same, commonly reflect what has accumulated down the consensus of the common consciousness of landscape that are the experience of the cognition of the natural landscape, the emotional need of humanistic landscape and the expression of creative thinking for landscape art. Its main expression way is not only on the vis ion, feeling a nd perception, but also is the ideal and the imaginary, experientia l. Therefore, the establishment and richness of the theory of landscape image plays a very important influence on the development of the practice of landscape and landscape research.The study of Landscape image theory is centered on image activit ies of people’s consciousness in practice of landscape. First, with the practical experience and the continuous image fragments, the landscape image of the world is established. Second, the process of consciousness of landscape image is like the prototype’s logic structure, and receivers in the preset situation of landscape with the landscape practice experience, follow the arrangement of the creator, gradually make theme and connotation of landscape clear, so as to make agreement upon the landscape image. Finally, the landscape image is fixed, the consciousness of the correction and supplement of landscape image is not the result of the memory of landscape prototype, but the landscape environment gro up identification and the individual consciousness of overlap. This article analyzes the concept and types of landscape image, then proposes the landscape image consisting of the structure, character and the connotation. Meanwhile the landscape image has t he duality between subject and object, with the characteristic of the fuzzy and dynamic combination which follows its prototype paradigm, hierarchy and translation rules to implement the entity and virtual body fus ion. SPSS analysis of variance was applied to research the effective questionnaire data statistics, sorting and analyzing the experiment, and on this basis, this paper discusses the landscape image analys is method based on SPSS analysis of variance.This paper explores the former studies of the landscape image, and on the basis of it, the innovation of this study is developed. In chapter 1, the relevant theoretical researches at home and abroad are discussed. The latter mainly includes the creation, the expression and the experience of landscape image, and thus formed by the creation of the logical framework, respectively on discussing the establishment, communication and acceptance of the landscape image. Landscape imagery theory includes three parts: creation, expression and experience of landscape image, which are discussed respectively on the landscape image convey, creator, and receivers.The landscape image creation is about the main body of landscape research, from the angle of psychology and aesthetic culture, the introduction of prototype theory and the theory of reception aesthetics, to establish a landscape image creation method.The landscape image is first and foremost put forward from the aspect of psychology and thinking, so creation also need to be built on the prototype presentation, prototype representation and prototype deepening as well as prototype transition of the psychological method architecture first ly through the establishment of landscape prototype logic structure framework, and then from the angle of aesthetic and cultural la ndscape image of the physical form and meaning, research methods for creation of deep, this level is based on the image.The expression of landscape image, based on the meaning of landscape and landscape image expression of information transmission was the focus of discussion. According to the tradit ional C hinese theory of remark, iamge, and meaning, we discuss an expression way through meaning inspiration, image consciousness penetration, and remark perceived relevancy for the representation level of expression. In addition, the form of aesthetic object corresponding to the aesthetic consciousness of the symbolic meaning and aesthetic space empathy expression of emotion, is to dig deeper into the landscape aesthetic expression of image. Finally, introducing the theory of linguistics and semiotics to the discussion of cultural expression, the spatial contextual creation, material morpheme choosing culture meaning, convey structure pragmatic set expression grammar application form.The experience of landscape image based on the receiver level is the study of experience mechanism of landscape imagery which focused on psychological, aesthetic and cultural expression levels to perceive and recognize the creation and expression of landscape image ’s information and content. The study presents the results of experience can be as a kind of subjective evaluation and standard of landscape image to feedback the image creation and expression effect to guide the creators constantly do self-correction. Psychology, aesthetic and cult ure as characterization of landscape image are advanced. From the aspect of mental representation mechanism, psychological experience lies in the narrative structure of space imagery, perspective cognit ion, ecological consciousness on prototype landscape, and risk situation memory of the landscape; from the aspect of aesthetic representation mechanism, hing like beauty of experience, metaphor beauty of prototype, meteorological connotation and the capture of interest and beauty are investigated; from the aspects of cultural representation mechanism, the historical connotation of value, the interpretation of space-time characteristics of symbol, the concept of ecological theme and the meaning of poetry and text reading are put forward.Based on the systematic construction of the theory of landscape image, it can be seen that the creation and construction, the expression and the process of experience of landscape image shouldn’t be regarded as simple interpretation of landscape design process. The landscape image pays more attention to emotional and psychological response of people, rather than a simple demand for landscape material space to create the visual aesthetic and the landscape image recognition. The landscape image theory emphasizes on leading to the inspiration and guidance for people’s ideological level and creative level, and it is the supplement of landscape design practice and methodology.
