Automotive product styling is the research object of this thesis. The contents and rules of human aesthetic activities were studied, and the design ideas and methods to improve automotive product styling art function and giving consumers higher aesthetic value were proposed, from interdisciplinary research perspective of styling aesthetic and interactive design. Through this research, we hope to help improve the theoretical quality of the automobile styling art designers, and help them to design more good models in line with the consumer aesthetic needs and feelings.There are many research results in the related study areas at home and abroad, but a variety of perspectives and direction of relatively scattered. Currently, more complete idea of the overall framework for the study of interactive aesthetic design relationship of automotive product styling is still relatively scarce. Therefore, this thesis firstly focused on the establishment of a systematic research framework of the interactive aesthetic design relationship studies, secondly deeply researched the relationship of automobile product styling and human being factors, by using the decomposition and summary thinking mode, combining with the cross and comprehensive interdisciplinary fields of knowledge, combining the qualitative and quantitative research methods.Research ideas in this thesis are: focus on the automotive product styling design field, first to divide factors which included in“vehicle” and “human” clues, then to cross these factors to constitute the study points group, then to organize the chapter structure and contents by combining the study points and specific styling, and the specific cases will be incorporated into the theoretical study of each section. The main contents of the chapters are as follows:In chapter 1, introduction, topics and research background of this study were introduced. The characteristics, methods, theoretical foundation and research tools were explained. Research ideas and article frame were given.In chapter 2, interactive aesthetic and design of automobile products consumption group, product group’s level in the clue of“vehicle” was determined as the research scope. The relevant interactive aesthetic design relationships were studied.In chapter 3, interactive aesthetic and design of auto body appearance, body appearance with exterior in the clue of “vehicle” were determined as the research scope. The relevant interactive aesthetic design relationships were studied.In chapter 4, interactive aesthetic and design of interior space modeling, interior space and interior decoration in the clue of “vehicle” were determined as the research scope. The relevant interactive aesthetic design relationships were studied.In chapter 5, interactive aesthetic and design of automotive control interface, car control interface in the clue of “vehicle” were determined as the research scope. The relevant interactive aesthetic design relationships were studied.In chapter 6, using interactive aesthetic design relationship in design process, the innovative theory and methods of the previous chapters study were incorporated into the work of automobile styling design.In chapter 7, the summary of whole thesis, the full texts of the study were combed. The innovation points were summarized and described. The future research directions were prospected.This thesis has some innovations and breakthroughs in the research perspective, research ideas, basic theory, design ideas and methods, research and design practical tools, the main innovations are as follows:Ⅰ,New interdisciplinary research perspective, research ideas and research framework were proposed in this thesis.In the thesis, the interdisciplinary research perspective of styling aesthetic and interactive design,research ideas of two clues and one interaction were proposed,and systematic research framework in related fields were established. Interdisciplinary research methods were used,to proof the importance and trends of car pleasant styling design by the interdisciplinary research of game theory and value engineering,to analyze the evolution factors system of automotive styling evolution by the combination of system theory and the history of automotive styling,to explore the relationship between auto body engineering arrangement and art design by the combination of engineering, art and dialectical thinking.Ⅱ,Many theories of automotive product styling aesthetic cognition and design have been broken through in this thesis.Hierarchy of automotive styling aesthetic needs, psychological mechanism of automotive styling aesthetic features,auto body styling interaction design principle of large and small circulation,the phenomenon of auto body shape life-like feeling and intent cognitive projection principle,four categories of aesthetic design laws with different rules of action,the concept of car driving environment and theories of aesthetic experience design,the growth prediction of automotive control interface design under the trend of Technology,etc. were presented herein innovative.Ⅲ,Innovative design ideas and methods to improve the function of automobile plastic arts were proposed in this thesis.The ideas and methods of positioning and market segmentation of car styling function based on the aesthetic level division, the ideas and methods to use aesthetic rules in the design of auto body styling according to different psychological laws, the ideas and methods of auto body interior space environment aesthetic experience design with "Research– Design– Experience" parallel mode, the interactive information requirement analysis method and design examples of intelligent automotive instrument interface for the future, the combination points and contents to incorporate the study points of interactive aesthetic design relationship into the work of automobile styling design, were given.Ⅳ,Multiple innovative research and design utilities were proposed in this thesis.Evaluation model for the styling design of the body surfaces and curves was built, based on the principles of cognitive intention projection principle, and its application value has been described and tested combined with enterprise practice case. Typical user model of automotive styling and a demonstration example of its building process were presented creatively based on the given user research methods. The new type of "percentile psychological scale" was proposed and used in the study, for the needs to improve the accuracy, precision and efficiency of data measurement in the research works.
