With the development of technology, the human need of products on every aspect is growing. As an important factor of user experience, the ergonomic is getting more and more attention and it has become one of the most important factors in product design. Due to the progress of the design and manufacturing, the functional problem of aircraft has been reduced gradually, and the ergonomic problem becomes more and more visible. Improving the cockpit’s ergonomic conditions to supply a comfortable environment for the pilots and guarantee the safety of the flight has become an pressing problem during the development of aircraft. As a result, the ergonomic methods are playing more and more parts in the aviation field. However, the aircraft is complicated both on function and structure, and the current methods can only solve some problems partly because comprehensive and systematic theories are scarce. New theories and methods are badly needed to meet the need of aviation ergonomics.Depending on the program “Research on the key technology of ergonomic evaluation and design of a certain aircraft cockpit”, the paper built the framework of the aircraft cockpit ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation system, and proposed the corresponding solution from the global view after researching on the technology of posture prediction, ergonomic data visualization, community structure analysis and comprehensive ergonomic evaluation. The main work of this paper is as follows.(1) By analyzing the related factors of ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation, the paper raised the framework of the ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation and the key technologies were determined. About the ergonomic design, related theories and methods about ergonomic data visualization as well as connections between the displayers and controllers were analyzed from the interface level and the equipment level. At the same time, the theories about comprehensive ergonomic evaluation were researched and compared to establish the theory system of ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation.(2) On the ergonomic design, statistics methods were applied to realize the human body dimensions prediction. By improving the genetic algorithm, the posture prediction in 3D space was realized and the comfort parameter was acquired by using comfort evaluation method. After that, the paper raised a method to visualize the ergonomic data of visual zone, reach zone and comfort parameter in the aircraft cockpit, and an example was given to verify the feasibility of the method. Meanwhile, the paper raised subjective and objective methodsto calculate the connections between the displayers and controllers to build the complex network. The GN and CNM algorithm were applied and improved to calculate the community structure of unweighted network. Finally, an example was offerd to verify the availability of the method.(3) The related factors of comprehensive evaluation were researched and a system of evaluation was built. After that, the paper proposed the evaluation process applying the entropy weight method, TOPSIS method and so on. Applying the multi-attribute decision making theory, the data acquired by the soft hardware and given by the specialists were joined together to evaluate the aircraft cockpit comprehensively(4) Based on the general design of the aircraft cockpit ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation system, the technology system and function modules were acquired and the solution of the system was raised. Then the subsystem of ergonomic data visualization was developed and the visualization of visual zone, reach zone and comfort parameter were realized. The subsystem of community structure analysis of aircraft cockpit displayers and controllers was developed and the data importing, building of complex network and community structure calculating were realized. In the comprehensive ergonomic evaluation subsystem, the calculating and revise of weight as well as the data concentrating was realized.Above all, the paper researched on the technology process to do the aircraft cockpit ergonomic design and comprehensive evaluation from overall perspective and built the theory framework. The key technologies were researched and a prototype system was developed. It can improve the ergonomics of aircraft cockpit and supply a new direction for the ergonomic research on aircraft.
