A large number of progenies with segregated characteristics were obtained derived fromthe artificial crossing of Glycine soja Sieb.et Zucc. and Glycine max (L.)Merr. After nearlythree decades selection, more than fifty lines were obtained. Screening new strains forusing seeds, plants and both seeds and plants from all the hybrids was the ultimate goal ofthis study. A systematic research about morphology, agronomic traits, molecular geneticsand salt tolerance physiological were given on the lines whose phenotypic traits werebasically stable. The mainly analysis were variation degree, variation source, geneticrelationship among all materials, the reaction mechanism against salt stress of differentmaterials in seedling stage and comparison of salt-tolerance.Production performanceevaluation and adaptability research for the main goal lines. The main results were asfollows:1The seed produced significantly variation, compared with the leaves, flowers, pods andseeds of all the tested materials. The hilum and the seed coat showed seven differentcolors, separately. The pod number per plant, the number of4-seed pod, the number of3-seed pod, the branch number, the seed-stem ratio, the grain weight per plant, the numberof1-seed pod, the blighted pod rate and the height of the bottom pod were the mainvariation source of all tested materials.16quantitative traits could be simplified to sixindependent main factors.2Total123loci were amplified with11primers, the primer S23could distinguish all thetested materials. The genetic similarity coefficient between the test material was from0.60to0.94,the average genetic similarity coefficient was0.75.All the tested materials weredivided into7groups using cluster analysis and10groups using principal coordinateanalysis.Principal coordinates analysis could show differences among all materials moreconcrete lier.3Through the analysis of measurement results about the6physiological index of thetested material at seedling stage, the order from high to low of salt tolerancewas15>17-1>0004>zs01>2>CK2>9002>S002>10=0005>S001>ny01>CK1>12-4>pz01.15tested material could be divided into four categories according to the salt tolerance. Thecorrelation analysis results on physiological indexes showed that the changes in MDA content and Pro had high consistency with SOD activity.4The forage yield and seed yield of S001was significantly better than the Glycinesoja. It had higher nutrient content, strong adaptability, and could be extended planting anddeclared new of using both seeds and plants. S002was soft, its hay yield and especiallyseed yield, were higher than Glycine soja.It could be used as forage line continue. Inaddition S002was also as mixed sowing and mixed silage grass specie with corn toimprove the crude protein content of corn silage. The mixed silage proportion of corn andS002was7:3or8:2.
