Due to dormancy, aging and other issues of forage seed which will result in decrease of seed viability, the use of low temperature plasma (LTP) technology could be appropriate for forage seed treatment before sowing. The purposes of seed treatments are producing positive biological effects, increasing production, improving quality, helping the potential development of forage seed industry and grassland animal husbandry.In this study, on the basis of theoretical research of the LTP technology, the existing problems in LTP treatment experiment platform are raised and analyzed. On basis of this research, the database provides the technical support for setting up scientific and efficient LTP treatment equipment and a new type of controlled experiment platform are built, which realized big quantity processing of the forage grass seed.Thesis main conclusions are as follows:1. Experimental research by LTP treatment of forage seed germination were evaluated with germination potential and germination index. The tests shown that seed germination was significantly affected by LTP seed treatment.2. The research conducted a LTP seed treatments experimental research on forage grass seedling growth. The results obtained the best evaluation processing power when getting the best forage grass seed leaf length (shoot), root length, dry weight and fresh weight. The tests showen that pasture seed seedling growth was significantly affected by LTP treatment.3. The research studied the influence of LTP tests on the conductivity of forage seed. The studies have shown that LTP seed treatment significantly affect conductivity of forage grass seeds.4. The research given an optimization of LTP seed treatment experiment platform and set up a one-key controlled bulk LTP processing equipment. The experimental set up of the research includes: The capacity of equipment is20kg/times, test bench dimensions are2000mm×700mm×1100mm (length×width×height), power range of0-500W and caster to facilitate the daily movement of the machine. The test station using belt for material transportation and can accurately regulate seed processing time, achieving batch processing. Applying PLC control, it is simple and easy to grasp the equipment to achieve a key seed treatment. The software system uses a WinCC V7.2shows high reliability, anti-interference and ability of self-test function with hardware failure which greatly reduce the failure rate.
