With the development of animal husbandry, the existinglivestock is expanding.Farmers’ demand for corn silage isgrowing.China’s existing corn silage harvest, storage technologyis difficult to satisfy the market demand of the livestock breedingat this stage.In response to these problems, we designed anddeveloped a corn silage tractor-crushing high-density bander.Thebander can be done with existing operating equipment from cornsilage harvest, bale wrapping process to store one-stop job.Before designing, we first introduced some characteristics ofcorn silage harvest, such ascorn silage harvest geometry,silagemaize varieties, yield, moisture content, relatedagronomictechnical requirements and other factors,to determine theproduction process and the overall configuration.This article is divided into two parts of machinery and controlsystem, it introduced bander design process.Mechanical designsection includes the overall design of the structure, the mainworking parts of the design aspects.The main components includefeeding systems, compression systems, the net mechanism,transmission, chassis, chassis parts, hydraulic systems andseveral parts.Bander’s control system based on programmable controller asthe core design implementation. In order to improve equipmentefficiency and make the maintenance equipment commissioningconvenient, we designed the bander control system for the balermanual control and automatic control modes.Firstly, the articledescribed the device functions.According to the need of the design,we did a selection of the PLC, I/O allocation, workflow determines job.Finally, we did the preparation of the program and completedthe design process of the entire control system.After the bander overall design is completed, in order to checkif the overall index for the assessment attain the designrequirements, we conducted a series of field trials.The factorsof bander,the performance, efficiency, reliability, security,regional adaptability are validated, and gives the experimentaldata. Finally,we summarize the test results.
