The Literature Research Of Licorice

Research Objective:Licorice has a long history of drug use, and is the most frequent used in clinical.Besides,it is liked boththe east and the west,which has a large number of literature since the beginning of time.Licorice can reconcile various drugs was known to all, therefore, the doctor often plus it in th end of prescriptions.However,licorice is not dispensable condiment in prescriptions,it still has a lot of irreplaceable effects which can not be replaced by other drugs.And in ancient China,many effects of licorice has been recorded in herbal medicine books and medical formulary,although some of them have been ignored by modern people gradually.Based on this, this paperchoosed researchingthe ancient literature of licorice.In addition,it also collected the ancient prescriptions for data analysis and then to explore the usage and the compatibility rules of licorice in ancient times.Furthermore,compared with modern textbooks and Pharmacopoeiaof the People’s Republic of China,the paper is looking for the lost effects of licorice which ever existed.Research content:This paper mainly is divided into three parts: the first part is the ancient literature researchoflicorice,mainly combingits ancient documents,such as theanalysis of the literatureevolution inits name,origin,processing,four natures, flavor of drugs, channel tropism,floating and sinking,efficacy and attending disease,adverse reactions and so on;The second part isits prescriptions research, mainly through the analysis of prescriptions containing licorice to findout the high-frequency indication,the compatibility rules and some special usageof licoricein the prescription;The third part is the comparison part,mainly discussed the ancient and modern functions of licorice,so that its differences can be found.Research Results: Through the study of ancient literature of licorice, it was found that licorice’s application had a lot to do with its taste,almost all of its effects connectted with thecharacteristics such as “moderating,regulating,tonifying”.Through the preliminary study of licorice,we know the law of its compatibility and the special usage.By contrast to the function of the ancient and modern application of licorice, there is still some difference between ancient and modern application.A lot offunctions of licorice has gradually been given up by modern people,which will be our next focus of research.
