Literature Culture Ideology

In order to reveal the basic structure and internal logic of Eagleton’s Literary Ideology, and this point of view in different periods of the theory of continuity and change, this thesis uses the method of combining history and logic, literature and ideology as the basic point-depth analysis of the relationship between the two to reach this point of view of the system to grasp. Specifically addressed as follows:The first chapter, mainly on Eagleton’s production view of the ideology of the literary texts in the1970s. This chapter based on Eagleton’s concept of ideology and literature, by a link point of literary form discusses ideology as components of literature as a whole, infiltration of the literary aesthetic internal to participate in multi-level production of literature, constitutes the contradictory movement in the production process resulting in literature is not only ideology but also break through ideology.The second chapter, Eagleton uses cultural studies in the1980s and1990s to explain literature. We therefore need to be associated in the literature, culture, ideology, the three investigated Eagleton’s Cultural Ideology. Eagleton, cultural deconstruction of literature, on the one hand, points out that the practice of literary discourse as valve of significance of ideology; the other hand, by the cultural interpretation of the literature, culture of the material practical and resistance-power injected into literature, particularly through interpretation of the literary culture of the aesthetic connotation, the aesthetic senses, and the individual imagination and physical freedom requires closely linked, giving the power of aesthetic breakthrough ideology.Chapter Ⅲ of the21st century, accompanied by the rise of post-industrial society, culture gradually becomes a capitalist ideology attacked by postmodernism. Eagleton by the elucidation of the cultural ethics dimension from the perspective of seeking to develop new directions for the culture and finds more consistent with the pursuit of ethics significance of culture and literary aesthetic:people according to their own nature free development. So literature and culture naturally resist the ideological power of oppression. Eagleton seems to literature the ultimate significance of discourse, is bound to be the shaping of ideology. Therefore, literature is ideology and resists ideology. Eagleton’s view of literature and ideology in this period is the enrichment and development of the related point of view of the former period in the new historical conditions.Chapter Ⅳ, the theoretical contributions and limitations of the analysis of the Eagleton’s Literary Ideology, for our study provide a reference for a reference, theoretical value and practical significance.Visible, Eagleton’s Literary Ideology is a dynamic process of development, in the literature is both continuity and rupture process of thinking, he deepens the discussion of the literary and ideological relations, not only directly related to literature and ideology, and further through the literature of cultural interpretation, reveals in the literature, culture and ideology, the relations between literature and ideology intrinsically linked:literature by the ideological construction of the intrinsic properties of the resistance ideology.
